He/Shes What are they doing? They areType of lesson: listening and speakingTeaching procedures:Step1.Revision1. Lets chant. Then students guess: What are the people doing?2. Ask: Are they playing basketball? Why not?Because its raining. Step2. New words1. Use PPT to learn new words about the weather;2. Simple summary of the words;3. Play a video. Students listen and point out the words about the weather.4. Students learn the conversation: Hows the weather? Its raining.5. Show pictures about some famous cities and the weather, students use the sentence structure to ask the weather in some cities; Step3. Practice1. Match words with pictures in 1a; 2. Listen to the tape and ask the students to fill in the blanks in 1a and check the answers;Step4. Pairwork1c.Students talk about the weather with their partners on the phone.Practice with the structures: Hows the weather? and Whats the weather like? with the 5 picturesAct the conversation out to classmates.Step 5 Listening1. Listen to four conversations, number the pictures and match peoples names with the activities.2. Ask and answer questions. Talk about what people are doing in 2a.Step6.
