Abiliy goal: Dessribe the things that are happening now.Teaching important points1.Some words and phrases:carry,quite,go on a picnic,a basket of,lots of,look out2.Make some sentences with the Present Continue Tense.Teaching difficult points1.The Present Continue Tense.2.Some difficult sentences:(1)What is she doing?She is making salad.(2) What are they doing?They are painting.Teaching methodsSpeaking and practiceTeaching toolsA recorder,audiotapes,some pictures.Teaching proceduresStep1.OrganizationFirst the teacher greets the students.Step2.Warming up1.Sing a song.2.Encourage some students to describe their bedrooms in front of the class.Step3.Learning the new words1.Show some pictures about picnic and say “I will go on a picnic with my friends.”Write the sentence on the blackboard and teach picnic.2.Show a picture of basket and say “This is a basket.I am carrying a basket.”Repeat it several times of basket and make sure the students understand the meaning of basket and carry.Let the students read it a few times.3.Play the audiotape and let the students read the new words after the tape.Give the students several minutes to read and learn the new words.Step4.Learning the new text1.Instruct the students to look at the pictures of the text,then answer the questions.(1)Who do you see in the pictures?(2)Where are they?(3)What are they doing?2.Play the audiotape and let the students follow several times.Give they a few mimutes to read the text silently.Then check the answers.3.Let the students read the text again.Then encourage the students to repeat the text in groups.Step5.PracticeShow some pictures to students and ask “What is he dong? What is she doing? What are they doing?” Encourage the students answer the questions.Then give the students some pictures .Let the students practice in pairs.Step6.SummaryGo over the words and languag
