Module 6 Animals in dangerUnit 1 It allows people to get closer to them. 本课时编写:合肥市金湖中学 江立寒教材分析本模块以“Animals in danger”为话题,以学习动词不定式的用法为主线,介绍了当前濒临灭绝,需要人类保护的动物的情况, 并重点介绍了大熊猫的保护情况。在此基础上,学生可以根据自己的建议制定更合理的动物保护措施。教学目标l Knowledge objectiveTo master the useful words and sentences.Words: snake, thin, danger, interested, allows, wild, protect, grow, enough, dirty, peace, earth, raiseExpressions: in danger, at last, be interested in, think of, take away, in peace, on earth, in order to, look afterl Ability objective1. To help students to improve their ability of listening and speaking.2. Enable students to understand conversations about animals in danger.l Moral objective1. To help students know the importance of protecting animals and our environment.2. Improve their sense of duty to love and protect animals. 教学重难点教学重点:1. New words and expressions.2. To learn the grammar knowledge of infinitive.教学难点:Cultivating the ability of expressing opinions.课前准备A tape recorder, multimedia and some pictures教学过程Step 1 Lead-in 1. Ss look the pictures and guess what the animal is.2. Look and say. The teachers shows the pictures of new words and let the students to say the new words as quickly as possible.3. Work in pairs. Look at the pictures and do the quiz.【设计意图】本活动是准备活动,为下面的听力活动作词汇和背景上的准备和铺垫。Step 2 ListeningListen and answer the questions.(1) Whats this weeks Animal World about?(2)Which animals are in danger?【设计意图】本活动为细节辨认活动,旨在帮助学生熟悉词汇,了解本单元主题。Step 3 Listen to Activity 3 and answer the following questions.1. Is Betty more interested in Wolong Panda Reserve?2. Do many animals have a safe place to live?【设计意图】本活动旨在让学生做听力练习,抓住对话的主要信息。Step 4 Now complete the table.1. Ask the students to read the conversation again and mark the key information which is helpful to complete the table.2. Ask them to list and sort out the key information and then complete the table.3. Elicit answers from the class.Why animals are in dangerWhat we can do to help【设计意图】本活动的目的在于引发学生对动物保护这个主题的思考和讨论。Step 5 Complete the passage with the correct form of the words and expressions in the box.1. Let Ss read the passage first and choose the words and expressions from the box.2. Tell them to check their answers in pairs.3. Elicit answers from the class.【设计意图】本活动以短文的形式帮助学生熟悉主题,学习运用对话中出现的词汇表述观点。Step 6 Listen and mark when the speaker pauses1. It allows people to get closer to the pandas.2.
