However, as teenagers, they are passionate and creative, so they are willing to learn what interests them. So in this lesson, the teacher should carry out different activities to attract students attention and help them to take part in class and learn what they are supposed to learn. In this lesson, students may have difficulties in saying out the work flow in the workshop in English. In addition, they might find it a little tough to describe the work as packagers on the assembly line by themselves. So the teacher will apply different teaching methods to help the students.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis dialogue is about working as packagers on the assembly line .Many students dont have the experience of working as packagers on the assembly line, so the teacher should let the students understand the production line in factories. This lesson is the dialogue of unit 5, which talks about the work on the assembly line. At the end of this lesson, the students are supposed to understand the dialogue according to the listening. Also, in order to consolidate their knowledge, they need to design a plan of social practice after class.Teaching Objective1. Knowledge Objective: 1) Ss should understand the work flow of the packagers. 2) Ss should grasp the words for expressing sequence. 2. Brainstorming T: Did you take part in the social practice during your holidays?Ss: Tell their answers.The teacher shows the pictures and let Ss say something about the part-time jobs.2. Play a game and review learned words. 3.Watch a video clip of ChaplinT: Maybe some of you dont have the chance to go to the factory and you have difficulties in understanding the work as packagers on the assembly line. Now, lets watch a video clip of Chaplin and you will get some ideas of the working as packagers on the assembly line.Brainstorm Ss with the pictures so that the Ss will be excited with this topic and get ready for new lesson. Review the words for dialogue study.Ss get basic idea of work flow on the assembly line and ready for their dialogue study. Step2Pre-listening(5 mins)1. The teacher shows a box to the students. There is a doll, a skirt, a plastic bag, a roll of sealing rubber.2. Three students stand in the front, every student represents one group. The teacher acts as the director of the factory, taking them to take part in the social practice. They will work as packagers on the assembly line.3. The teacher shows them the instruction. The students should finish the work or do the action according to the teachers instructions.1). Lets go to the workshop to learn how to wrap the dolls.2).The first group: Get the doll from the line and dress it up.3). The second group: Wrap it in a plastic bag and put the package back on the line.4). The third Group: Get the package from the line, put them into a box and seal it.With this part, the students will understand the listening more easily.Step3Listen to the dialogue and understand the dialogue( 12 mins)1. Listen to the dialogue for the first time, and answer the following question: What are the students going to do?2. Show four pictures to the students, let the students look and say “What are they going to do?” listen to the dialogue for the second time. When they finish listening, the students should order these four pictures.3. Ss read after the tape for the dialogue and find out the words to express sequence.4. Ss Read the dialogue, the teacher will give some explanation of the dialogue to the students. The students will find it easy to understand the dialogue according to the listening exercises. Get the detail information from the listening. Step4Consolidation exercise( 15 mins )1. Show Ss two kinds of situations and let them ask and answer in pairs. 1. Get the toy car from the line 2. Wrap the toy car into the plastic bag.3. Put the package in the box4. Seal the box1. Press the button to fill in the milk package2. Seal the package3. Put the sign on the package4. Put the package in the box.2. Group Task 1: The students describe how to draw money from the ATM? 3. Group Task 2: The students discuss how to serve the customers at a restaurant in English?A. What should we do first?B: First, you should _. Then _A. Whats next?B. After that, _. Finally_. Thats all.Ask students to act out the dialogue is to let Ss put what have learnt into practice and also consolidate what they have learnt in the lesson. Ss work together to review the procedure of drawing money in unit 2 with learned words of expressing sequence. Ss put learned knowledge into practice and solve problems.
