关联理论视角下的小说风格翻译 摘要 风格翻译问题是文学翻译学罩较难的问题，也是文学翻译艺术生成的关键问 题。传统风格翻译研究，特别是小说风格翻译研究还处于非常落后的状态，正如 申丹所言，主要表现为对风格非常笼统、印象化的评论，或对精微的风格特点明 显缺乏敏感的本能的分析。 翻译是跨语际交际行为，交际法是研究翻译的重要方法之一。交际观历经变 迁。传统代码模式与推理模式在解释交际现象上的不足带动了交际观方法研究的 进一步完善，以及随之而来的翻译观的演变。关联理论是斯博伯和威尔逊提出的 从认知角度研究交际的新的方法论。格特以其为基础建立起来的翻译理论框架给 翻译研究带来了全新的视角。格特在翻译与关联：认知与语境一书中虽然没 有直接讨论文学翻译的问题和忠实原文的问题，但是他列举的例子却大多是文学 翻译实例，间接证明了关联理论应用于文学翻译的可行性。 本文旨在通过运用关联理论分析文学翻译的实例，澄清人们对关联翻译理论 的一些误解，说明将关联理论应用于小说风格翻译研究的必要性和有效性，从而 证明该理论对作为跨文化语言交际的翻译活动有着充分的解释力。 小说翻译是一项复杂的工作，其中风格再现是翻译的难点问题。再现原作的 风格，首先要认识和欣赏其风格。本文从三个方面对本研究中的风格作了如下界 定：一、风格是可译的：二、小说风格主要指作者风格和作品文本风格；三、采 用申丹提出的风格定义：风格是被艺术或主题意义激发出来的选择。 本文采用格特提出的直接翻译方法来证实小说风格是可译的，但存在可译度 问题。语言是风格的重要载体，它体现着作者特有的写作方式。直接翻译即是追 求与原文的语言特征的相似性。但是，由于语言特征不但因语言而异，而且同样 的语言结构都并不一定具有同样的风格特征( 如英汉两种语言中的主动语态和被 动语态) ，所以表达话语的风格特征的语言特征并不具有普遍性。在直接翻译中， 与其说是在努力保留原文的全部语言特征，不如说是在保留这些语言特征为我们 提供、引导读者获得交际者的本意的“交际线索 ，进而使译文读者的认知语境 通过译者保留的交际线索尽量与原文读者达到一致，达到了最佳关联的传递，及 在一定程度上成功保留风格。这些交际线索可以表现在语义呈现、句法特征、拟 声词、音韵以及一些具有风格特征的词语等等当中。但是，由于源语和译入语的 语言、文化和读者的认知语境的差异以及意义本身的不确定性和开放性等因素， 完全的直接翻译比较少见。即使在直接翻译中，译者也只能尽力保留交际线索， 最大程度再现原文风格。 本文从多个国内外著名的小说的不同译本中收集了一些典型的例子，从语义 呈现、句法特征、具有风格特征的词语、音韵及修辞等五个方面对实例进行了详
