Unit 4 Wheres my backpack?一、教材分析本单元的主要话题是谈论物品所在的位置。通过这一话题,训练学生的听、说、读、写四项基本技能,让学生通过询问物品的位置,学习一些有关家居物品和学习用品的单词,以及方位介词in, on, under等的用法,学习并掌握where句式的问答。学习名词单复数及人称代词it, they的用法,同时培养学生养成爱干净、讲整洁、合理摆放物品的好习惯。1、语言知识Wheres my backpack? Its in / on / under the table.Are my books on the chair? Yes, they are. / No, they arent.2、语言功能介词的运用,where问句的回答。3、语言目标A、能力目标:谈论物品所在的位置,即介词(in, on, under, near, behind)的应用,训练学生的听、说、读、写能力。B、情感目标:培养学生的学习兴趣,让学生体会到合理的家具摆放、布置给人以温馨、舒适之感。C、德育目标:教育学生养成爱干净、讲整洁、合理摆放物品的好习惯。4、学习策略与学法指导通过学习,掌握介词、名词单复数和人称代词it、they的用法。指导学生掌握where 句式的问答。二、教学重点、难点1 重点:A. 方位介词: in, on, under, behind, in front of, near 等的用法; BWhere 的特殊疑问句和一般疑问句:Is the in/on/under the ? 的肯定、否定回答; C 新单词:bed, dresser, table, bookcase, backpack2 难点:A. 能够准确运用方位介词描述物品所在的位置; B能够运用Where问句找到物品的位置。三、教学方法采用任务型语言教学,实施情景教学法、交际法、情感激励法等教学方法。四、教学过程Period 1(P19-P20)Step 1Warming-up 1. Revise a chant together.2. Is the bookcase near the bed?Ss: Yes, it is. / No, it isnt.Step 3 PresentationPut the dialogue in the right order in Section A, 3a.Present short dialogues, using pictures or objects to help. Dialogue 1: A: Wheres my bag? B: I dont know. Is it on the sofa? A: No, it isnt. Dialogue 2: A: Wherere my books? B: I dont know. Are they on the bed? A: Yes, they are. Step 4 PracticeLet the students make similar dialogues according to the pictures in Section A, 3c.Step5 Game: Find the differenceSection A, 4. Student A looks at Picture 1, Student B looks at Picture 2. Ask and answer in pairs and fill in the form. SA: Where is the backpack? Is it under the table? SB: No, it isnt. Its on the table. Step 5 PairworkMake a telephone conversation to your family in pairs, tell him or her to bring you four things that you need for the sports meeting from your room, and where the things are.Write down the note in Section B, 3c.Step 6 HomeworkDraw and write in Section B, 4. Draw your ideal room, then write a short passage to describe to your classmates. Period 5 Self -Check (P24)Step 1 Warming upInvite different students in turn to come to the front of the classroom. Holding up the pictures of their actual rooms,students take turns describing them to the class. Make sure the students are using prepositions correctly.Step 2 Key words checkAsk students to check all the words they know. Get students to find out the meanings of the words they dont know by reviewing the lesson , asking classmates or looking them up in a dictionary.Step 3 PracticeAsk students to write five new words. After that,exchange books and share their lists with other students. Have a student write his/her five new words on the blackboard to share them with the whole class.Step 4 ReadingInvite a student to read it to the class. Point at the box below. Say: Please read the note once more by yourself. Then draw the room in the box.Get students to do the activity individually. Ask students to exchange their books and check their work with each other.If necessary,get different students to collaborate on a group drawing on the blackboard.Step 5 Just for FunHave all students read the conversation.
