Respected Your Excellency,Its my great pressure to be here sharing my lesson with you. This lesson is the first period of Unit 5, Book 3. And Ill talk about my lesson in seven parts.1. First of all, analysis of the teaching materials:This lesson is the first period of Unit 5, Book 3. Its the beginning of this unit, so if the students can learn this lesson well, it will be helpful for them to learn the rest of this unit. This unit is about food. The title of this unit is “What would you like?” It is very important in our everyday life. So if the students can learn this unit well, they will be more popular in their living surroundings.2. Analysis of the students:It has been not a long time since English has been taught in primary school, especially in rural primary school. Some rural primary schools do not have professional English teachers. They use teachers of other subjects to teach English. These teachers sometimes use English lesson to teach Chinese or math. They do not think English is important to primary school students, which makes students themselves also think English is not important. All these leads to students in rural primary school can not learn English well. What even worse is that they think they can never learn English well because it is so difficult. 3. Teaching aims: 1. Ability aims:(1) Make the students be able to talk about 3 meals in everyday life;(2) Make the students have abilities of using the basic sentences: What would like for ? & Help yourself.2. Knowledge aims:(1) Learn the new words: rice, noodles, fish, beef, soup, vegetable.(2) Learn the new sentence pattern: What would you like for dinner? Id like some3. Emotion aims:(1) Make the students be interested in learning English;(2) Make them be willing to talk about 3 meals in everyday life.4. Cultural aim:Make the students know something about the western culture.4. The important and difficult points:(1) The important point of this lesson is to grasp the above six word in listening, saying and identifying.(2) The difficult point is to read the word “vegetable”.5. Then, Ill talk about teaching methods: According to the new standard of English teaching, combing with the characteristics of this lesson, Ill mainly use the following teaching methods: Task-based method, group-work method, situational teaching method. 6. Teaching procedure1. Warm-up (1) Play the tape record of the chant “show me the Hamburger” in Unit 5, Book 1. Let the students listen and chant with the tape.(2) Review some food words weve learned before.With this step,students will feel learning English is not difficult but intereting.It will arouse students interests of learning English. It can also make the students not fear of talking in English.2. Preview(1) Dayly dialogue.T: Im hungry. Lets eat something. Do you like chicken?S: Yes, I do./ No,I dont.T: What do you like?S: I like(2) Game: Brainstorm.Show some pictures of food to the students. A few minutes later, ask them to say the food they remeber. 3. Presentation(1) Do actions and say: Im hungry. Can I have some rice, please? Then the students show the picture of rice to the students. And say :Sure. Here you are. Then the teacher say: Thank you. Then put the word card on the blackboard. Teach the word “rice”.(2) Use similar methods to teach the rest words.(3) Identify the words with the students.(4) Game: Simon says. Say a word and the students read twice each. But when I say “Simon says”, they keep quiet.The designing of this step is to make the students focus. At the same time, they will learn more happily and easily by learning with playing.(5) Waiters and waitress: One students act as the waiter or waitress, the other students act as the customers. Use the sentence pattern: What would you like for lunch? Id like.This step is to make the students be more familiar with the words.4. Sum upLead the students to sum up the things we learned in this class. (1) The new words: rice, noodles,
