会话含意理论是由美国著名语言哲学家格莱斯提出来的。格莱斯认为为了使谈话能顺 利进行，谈话双方必须遵守一些原则，他把这些原则统称为合作原则。但是，人们在现实 生活中常常故意违反合作原则来表达与字面意思不一致，甚至相违背的隐含意思。而往往 隐含意义才是作者真实意图的反映。这就要求译者在翻译时应注意原语文本中的会话含意 以及说话者使用会话含意的真实目的。 本文主要研究的是戏剧文本中会话含意的翻译。对于读者和观众来说，j 下确理解戏剧 对白是欣赏戏剧的基础。因此，戏剧对白作为戏剧文学最重要的语言形式，是戏剧成功与 否的关键，而戏剧翻译的重点也在于戏剧对白的翻译。由于现代戏剧对白中也经常会出现 由于违背合作原则而产生会话含意的现象，这就使从合作原则角度研究戏剧对白中的会话 含意成为了可能。戏剧有其特殊的内在属性一戏剧的二重性。它不仅可以以文本的形式存 在于文学体系，同时还可以以更为复杂的形式存在于舞台。作者认为鉴于会话含意的特点 以及戏剧的双重性特点，翻译含有会话含意的戏剧对白的关键在于获得语用等效，优先考 虑其所产生的对读者的语用效果。只有在翻译中实现语用等效，才能使目的语读者和观众 获得与原语读者和观众相同的感受。翻译含有会话含意的戏剧对白时应遵守的基本准则包 括两个主要的方面：一是保持原有隐含着的会话含意；二是在无法保留原有会话含意的情 况下，保持其原有功能。 本文旨在分析和探讨含有会话含意的戏剧对白的翻译。作者以日出的英译本为例， 先总结了同出中戏剧对白的特点，包括口语化，个性化，富含动作性和可表演性语言。 同时，对例句中所产生的会话含意进行语用分析和推导，并对相对应的译本及其采用的翻 译方法进行了分析。个案分析表明，由于受戏剧对白的特点及读者能力两方面的影响，翻 译时应优先采用直译法，改编法和解释法等翻译策略，而尽量少使用扩充，加脚注与注解 等会加重目的语读者和观众负担的翻译策略。本文通过研究总结同出中含有会话含意 的戏剧对白的翻译，分析了将语用等效原则应用于此类型翻译的可能性和必要性，期望能 为戏剧对白中会话含意的翻译研究以及日出的研究提供建设性的帮助。 关键词：戏剧对白：会话含意：语用等效；翻译研究 i i 硕f j 学位论文 a b s t r a
