Ill live in an apartment andWhile reading1. Skimming(略

3、读):在3a中作者预测了自己20年后的生活状况。快读短文,回答问题:(1) What will Jill be in 20 years?(2)What does Jill mention(提到)in 3a?2. Scanning(找读):1)仔细阅读短文,完成3a的填空。2)再细读短文,在3a中标出含有“will”的句子,并熟读这些句子。3. Ss read the filled passage aloud for 5 minutes to recite.4. Reading up(研读)1)自主学习找出重、难点。2)合作探究细读全文,提出疑难问题,小组讨论,互助解答。观察与思考:(1) 这篇

Pair work: 结合生活实际,同桌之间就以上四个问题进行讨论。5. 完成4和self check.三、【问题探究】:(1)Ill live in Shanghai, because I went to Shanghai last year and fell in love with it. 原因状语从句我将住在上海,因为去年我去了上海,并且喜欢上了那儿。fall in love with 爱上(某人或某物)I fell in love with the skirt when

6、I saw it. 当我一见到这件裙子,我就喜欢上了它。fall v. 落下;跌落,其过去式是fell。 Rain is falling. 正下着雨。(2)I think Ill live in an apartment with my best friends, because I dont like living alone.我想我将和我最好的朋友住在一个公寓里,因为我不喜欢单独居住。alone adv. 单独地;孤独地,相当于by oneself。She went home alone. 她独自回家去了。alone adj. 独自的,常作表语。The girl is alone. 这女孩

7、独自一人。alone和lonelyalone可作副词,也可作形容词,不带感情色彩,表示客观情况。When the baby woke up,he found himself alone.这个婴儿醒来时,他发现只有他一个人。lonely意为“孤独的;寂寞的”,表示主观上感到孤独、寂寞,有较浓厚的感情色彩,指因缺少朋友、同学、友谊等而产生的一种悲伤和忧郁的情感。它作表语或定语。也可修饰地点,意为“人迹稀少的;荒凉的”。(3)On the weekend, Ill be able to dress more casually. 在周末,我将会穿得更休闲。be able to 有能力做某事;会做某事H

8、e is able to swim. 他会游泳。be able to 和can 二者都可以表示“能;会”。在表示现在和过去“力所能及”时,二者可以互换。但它们也有一些区别:be able to可用于各种时态; 可用于不定式的后面;不能用于表示猜测的句中。can只用于一般现在时和一般过去时。不能用于不定式的后面。表示猜测时,只能用can。You will be able to learn another foreign language in two years.两年后你将能够学另一门外语。I hope to be able to go fishing with you. 我希望能和你一起去钓鱼

9、。Mr King cant be at home now. 现在金先生不可能在家。dress v. 穿衣,作不及物动词 Get up and dress quickly. 赶快起床穿衣服。dress v. 给穿衣,作及物动词,也可构成dress oneself,意为“给自己穿衣”。The mother is dressing her baby.妈妈正在给婴儿穿衣服。The boy can dress himself.这男孩能自己穿衣。dress up 穿上盛装;打扮 The children dressed up as policemen. 孩子们把自己打扮成了警察。比较一下dress, we

10、ar和put on吧三者都有“穿衣”的意思,但“穿”法不同。dress可表动作,人作宾语,构成dress sb. 或dress oneself/ get dressed。The old woman cant get dressed./ dress herself.这老妇人不能自己穿衣服。也可表状态,常构成 be dressed in +衣服The girl is dressed in a white skirt. 这女孩穿着一件白色的裙子。wear指“穿着”的状态,也可表示“戴着”,后接衣服等的名词。She wore her red coat and glasses. 她穿上了她的红外套,戴上

11、了眼镜。put on指“穿”的动作,即“穿上”, 后接衣服的名词。Its cold. Please put on your sweater. 天冷,请穿上你的毛衣。(4)There are many famous predictions that never came true. 有许多从来没有实现的著名预言。本句是含有定语从句的复合句。在主从复合句中作定语的从句叫定语从句。定语从句所修饰的名词或代词叫先行词,引导定语从句的词叫关系词。that never came true作predictions的定语。come true (希望等)实现;达到 His dream came true at

12、last. 他的梦想最终实现了。come from 来自TuanTuan and Yuan Yuan come from the mainland of China. 团团和圆圆来自中国大陆。come over 顺便来访 Can you come over to my house next Sunday? 下星期能来我家吗?come back回来 He came back home at five yesterday. 昨天他五点回到家。(5)Before 1929, there was no sound in movies. 在1929年以前,电影都是无声的。sound n. 声音,指人们听

13、到的一般自然界的各种声音,包括鸟叫声、流水声等。Listen! Can you hear the sound of the bird? 听!你能听到鸟叫声吗?sound v. 听起来His idea sounds a good one. 他的意见听起来不错。The music sounds sweet. 这音乐听起来很甜。四、【巩固训练】I.
