2、 four years.,Introduction of Olympic Games,Origin of Ancient Olympic Games,The history of the Ancient Olympic Games can be traced back over 3000 years to ancient Greece. The first one was held in front of the temple of Zeus of Olympia in 776 BC.,While the games was on, the city states came to an agr

3、eement to cease fire. The ancient Olympics had a distinctive feature: naked sports. From the first ancient Olympics in 776 BC to 394 AD, there held 293 ancient Olympics in the same place.,Modern Olympic Games,A Frenchman named Pierre De Coubertin started the modern Olympic Games in 1896. He had a st

9、攻,The Introduction of NBA,NBA, with 30 teams from the United States and Canada, is the major professional basketball league in the world, and represents the highest level of professional play. Players from all over the world aspire to play in North America. In 1946, a few Eastern-based arena operato

10、rs agreed that they needed more events to bring the public into their buildings on nights when their hockey teams were not scheduled play. From these humble beginnings, NBA was born.,Regular Season,NBA regular season begins in the first week of November. Each team plays an 82-game with 41 home and 4

11、1 road games. Each team travels all over the nation to play 29 different teams. So it is a challenging schedule. Its a pretty rigorous schedule compacted into about 5-6 months.,Playoff,After regular season concludes in April, a total of 16 teams qualify for the playoffs (8 teams from each conference

12、). The playoffs start with the teams with better records playing the teams with worse records in a best-of-seven series. The playoffs continue in this elimination scheme until a conference champion is crowned. The champions from two conferences then meet in a best-of-seven series to determine the fi

A player in an offside position is only penalized if the referee judges him or her to be interfering with play,

Each event determines who can run th

27、e fastest, who can jump the highest or the longest, or who can throw the farthest. The most medals which are 16 percent of total numbers are titled to the Track and Field at Olympic Games.,Athletics requires highly specialized techniques and skills. The athletes should show a good combination of spe

28、ed, strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, stamina, fine footwork and coordination, as well as self-confidence, concentration and tough-mindedness.,Events of Track,The results are calculated by time. Running events include- short distance events: 100m race, 200m race, 400m race middle distance e
