Criticsoftendon'tseegreatartforwhatitisbecausetheytendtobe

prejudicedagainstwhatispopular,asShakespeareandDickenswereintheirday.

Popularworks,whethernovels,movies,orcomics,areusuallyconsideredtobe

producedforthesakeofmoneyonly,andnotforthesakeofart.

Butpopularity,itseemstome,ison©ofthreesignsthatapresent-daywork

ofartmaycometobethoughtofasgreat.Theothertwoarethatitisgroundbreaking,
