pre-academicskillsinbothliteracyandmath.Itispossiblethatwhenchildrenexperienceconflicts

withteachers,thenegativeemotionsattachedtotheseconflictsareharmfultochildren'sengagement

inlearningandreducetheirinterestinacademictasks.It'salsopossiblethatchildrenexperiencing

conflictsaremissingoutontimeforlearningliteracyandmath,eitherbecausetheybecome

separatedfrominstructionalactivitiesorbecauseteachershavetospendmoreinstructionaltimeon

Thefindingsemphasizetheimportanceofkindergartenteachersbeingawareofhowtheir
