一、课程性质(定位)与任务

课程性质:商务英语专业综合英语课程是一门专业理论课程,

以传授专业基础理论知识为主要任务,旨在培养具有扎实的英语语言

基础和广博的文化知识,为商务英语专业技能课程的学习打下扎实的

基础。

21世纪是一个国际化的知识经济时代。我们培养的英语专业人才

应具有扎实的基本功、宽广的知识面、一定的相关专业知识、较强的

能力和较高的素质,也就是要在打好扎实的英语基本功的前提下掌握

商务方面相关知识。本教材注重培养学生获取知识的能力、独立思考

的能力,提高思想道德教育、文化教育和心理教育。

课程目标:通过本课程系统的学习,培养学生具有扎实的英语基

础知识,形成对西方文化的基本认识,并培养学生独立思考的能力以

及人文情怀。同时注重培养学生学以致用的能力,为学生毕业后在各

自的岗位进行英语交流打下坚实的基础。同时为学生通过英语四级考

试以及其他资格考试服务。

前导课程:无

后续课程:外贸英语函电、商务英语

二、课程目标

知识目标:

(一)系统地传播学生所必须掌握的英语基础知识及语言点,训练基

本的语言技能及运用能力,为今后学生的英语实际运用打下良好的基

础。

(二)培养学生分析和解决问题的能力,培养良好的听、说、写的能

力。

(三)在该阶段掌握词汇4000左右,并能进行系统的语法,词汇的

辨析。

(四)能独立阅读,听懂各种体裁文章,能写出相当四级水平的作文。

技能目标:

培养学生学以致用的能力以及英语交流、表达的能力,具有辩证

思维,客观看待中西方文化差异,并在此基础上进行有效地跨文化交

流。

素质目标:

要求学生具有独立思考的能力,具备人文关怀,对文化差异持包

容的态度,客观评价中西文化,能够做到取长补短,最终形成自己对

中西方文化的科学认识。培养学生团队合作、积极主动、谦虚谨慎等

职业道德,以及准确、流利地表达自身的观点,尊重他人的观点等交

流的能力。

三、教学内容及具体要求

本课程涉及语言、文化、习俗、伦理、信息、科学、社会焦点等

方面,注重选材的趣味性、信息性、实用性和时代性,题材广泛,体

裁多样。每单元讨论某一话题,所选的文章从不同角度阐释该话题,

课后题也有所侧重,按单词、词组、句子、语篇的编排顺序,步步为

营,层层深入,逐渐扩大学生的词汇量,培养语言,夯实英语基础。

同时,为学生搭起通向西方文化的桥梁。

四、教学手段及方法

教学方法直接关系到教学任务的完成和教学质量的提高,要在批

判继承原有教学方法的同时,采用新的教学方法。

坚持学生为主体,教师为主导,在教师的指导下,以“练”为主

的教学方法。学生为主体就是要使学生成为教学的主人,充分调动学

生的学习积极性、最大限度地让学生参与教学的全过程。教师为主导,

就是打破教师中心论,又要充分发挥教师的指导作用,使学生在老师

指导下进行训练。“练”要有多样性,如教师启发下的小组讨论式、

专题性的研究式。开展丰富多彩的教学活动。采用多种多样的教学形

式。

坚持课堂教学与课外实践活动相结合的教学方法。课外学习和实

践是课堂教学的延伸和扩展,是对课堂教学的巩固和提高,是扩大词

汇量,提高阅读能力的重要途径,教师应有计划有目的地组织学生开

展形式多样的学习活动,如举行作文比赛,单词知识竞赛、举办英

语演讲比赛、开展英语辩论等。

坚持改革教学手段,不断采用现代化教学设备。教学手段的现代

化关系到人才培养的质量。采用现代化的教学设备和手段,充分利用

英语语音室的计算机设备,使用计算机辅助教学,为学生提供更加生

动、形象、灵活-、方便的学习和实践空间,以提高教学质量。
