不与although/though (“虽然,尽管”)连用。

作介词,表示“除了„„之外”。
She did nothing but watch TV. grammar连词becausebecause是连词,意为“因为”,可以用来引导原因状语从句。汉语中的“因为……所以……”常常连用,但在英语中because和so不能同时连用。如:因为数学有趣所以我喜欢它。BecauseMathisinteresting,Ilikeit.=Mathisinteresting,soIlikeit.

“和”,否定句中代替and。

“一般疑问句+ or+被选择的部分”构成选择疑问句。

“祈使句+or +陈述句”,表示 “„„,否则,„„”
Hurry up, or you will be late. Work hard, or you cannot pass this exam. ④

grammar连词or⑤ or 常用either…or…结构:“要么…..要么….;或者…..或者”
连接并列主语时,谓语动词的人称要与最后的那个主语保持一致。
Either you or he is right. 要么你要么他是对的。grammar连词so(4)so
:表示因果关系,连接表示因果的句子。
在一个句子中不能同时出现because和so.
These buildings were over 50 years old, so they were not strong enough.
这些建筑物已有50多年的历史,因此不够坚固。
