agricultureandthespeciessucceedinginintensiveagriculturewereofteninvasive(侵入的).Butondiversified

farms,asignificantsubsetofbirdspeciestypicallyfoundinforests,includingsomeofconservationconcern,

actuallyincreasedovertime.

Whilethisresearchimpliesthatdiversifiedfarmingcouldbekeyforbiodiversity,therelationshipgoesboth

ways:biodiversityiskeyforfoodsecurity.Inthiscase,thatmeanshavingavarietyoftypesofbirdsfeedingon
