classified controlgear, abnormaloperationtestControlgearclassifiedas“DonotCover”shallbetestedinaccordancewiththerequirementsofParagraphZA3.Whenthe“DonotCover”controlgearistestedinaccordancewithParagraphZA3,notemperatureshallexceed—90°Conthemountingsurfaceofthetestbox;and130°Contheoutersurfaceofthecontrolgear.Thereshallbenodamagetothecontrolgearsuchasscorching,deformationormelting.Duringthetest,thermalprotectivedevicesorelectroniccontrolswithinthecontrolgearmayoperatetolimittemperatures.Thermaltestsfor“IC”controlgearControlgearclassifiedas“IC”shallbetestedinaccordancewiththerequirementsofParagraphZA3.When the “IC” controlgear is tested in accordance
