ThestandardspecifiesasetofguidelinesfordevelopingintelligentgroupingandresourcesharingapplicationsforHESClass2andClass3.Theseapplicationsallowuserstocontrolmultipledevicesthroughasingleinterfaceandalsomonitortheirstatus,configuration,andusagedata.ItincludesRAserver-basedsmartlockapplication,whichprovidesaccesscontrol,alarmnotification,andsecurityfeaturesforasmarthomeenvironment.

Inordertoimplementthisapplication,developersneedtofollowthespecifiedguidelines,whichincludeintegratingthesmartlockwiththeRAserverandprovidingnecessaryuserinterfacesformanagingthelocksettings,status,andaccesspermissions.TheRAservercanalsobeintegratedwithotherhomedevicesandsystemstoprovideseamlessintegrationandinteroperabilitybetweenthem.
