supervisionneglectinChinacanserveasawarningandprecaution.
However,downsidesofintroducingsuchlegislationmayalsoemerge.Forinstance,it'sdifficult
todistinguishbetweenaregrettableaccidentandcriminalneglectsothatover-criminalizationcan
arise,inwhichwell-meaningparentsmakinghonestmistakesarechargedwithacrime.
Therefore,amorebalancedapproachtoaddressingtheissueofchildsafetyshouldinvolvea
combinationofnewlegislation,educationandsupportservices.Theultimateobjectiveistoprevent
