由连接词if或unless引导状语从句叫做条件状语从句。条件状语从句用来说明主句动作发生条件，即某一件事情（从句中动作）实现之后，其它事情（主句中动作）可能发生。其中if是“假如，假如”意思.unless是“除非，假如不”意思。

二.if引导条件状语从句位置：

if引导条件状语从句，既能够放在主句之前，也能够放在主句之后。当从句置于主句之前时，惯用都用逗号与主句隔开。Forexample:Youwillcatchthebusifyougetupearly.==Ifyougetupearly,youwillcatchthebus.2/14三.if引导条件状语从句中主从句时态：1.若主句是普通未来时，if引导从句用普通现在时。Forexample:
