Theyfoundthattheself-compassiongroupreportedgreaterfeelingsofacceptance,forgivenessandpersonal

improvement,comparedwiththecontrolgroupandtheselfesteemgroup.Inotherwords,focusingonyourbest

Thegovernmentagencysaidthesatellitewillrequiretestingofitssixinstrumentsandwillbereadytowork

“withinayear."Oneofthesixinstrumentsonthesatelliteisdesignedtohelpscientistsstudylightningstrikesandmap

them.This,NOAAsays,willhelptheagencyfollowthemovementofseverestormsandprovidemoredetailedwarnings.

“Thenextgenerationofweathersatellitesisfinallyhere,“saidNOAAAdministratorKathrynSullivan.She

describedGOES-RasoneofthemosteffectiveEarth-observingmachinesevercreated.Sullivansaiditsinstrumentswill

beabletostudyEarthfivetimesfasterandwithfourtimesmoredetailsthananyotherNOAAsatellitecurrentlyin

operation.AnNOAAstatementsaidthegreaterdetailwillhelpimprovetheagency'sstudyofoceanstorms,aswellas

“thepredictionandwarningsofsevereweather."Inaddition,GOES-Rwillbeabletoprovideimprovedrainfall
