glonely,whichisasharpcontrast.3)usingexamplestosupporthisideas,likethedinnerget-togethertoshowthatfriendssaynothinginreallife.4)theuseof"I"tostartasentence,whichistypicalofpersonalblogs.)四、语法:构词法一、转化法:转化法是一个单词由一种词性转化为另一种词性而词形不变。1.名词与形容词互相转化例如:final决赛/最后的;light光线/轻的;right右边/对的2.名词与动词互相转化例如:doubt疑问/怀疑;taste味道/尝;dress连衣裙/穿衣;hand手/递;watch手表/观看;smell气味/闻;book书/预订3.动词与形容词互相转化例如:close关上/近的;open打开/开着的;slow变慢/慢的;clean打扫/干净的;wrong不公正地对待/错误的;narrow使变窄/狭窄的4.形容词与副词互相转化例如:late晚的/迟到;enough足够的/足够地;hard艰难的/努力地二、合成法合成法是用两个或更多的词合成一个词。词与词之间有的用连字符“-”连接,有的直接写在一起,还有的分开写。1.合成名词例如:weekend周末;handwriting书法;sunrise日出;output产量;highway高速公路;playground操场2.合成形容词例如:apeace-loving爱好和平的;well-known著名的3.合成副词例如:overhead在头顶上方;somewhere在某处4.其他合成词例如:overwork使工作过度;safeguard保护三、派生法派生法是用一个词根加上前缀或后缀构成另一个词。1.前缀:加前缀一般不改变词性,而只改变词义。例如:disappearance消失;illegal非法的;misguide误导;anti-sunburn防晒的2.后缀:加后缀只改变词性,词义变化不大。例如:shortage缺少;importance重要性;actor演员四、一些次要的构词法1.截短(1)截头例如:telephone→phone;airplane→plane(2)去尾例如:examination→exam;laboratory→lab(3)截头去尾例如:refrigerator→fridge;influenza→flu2.混合例如:smokeandfog→smog;newsbroadcast→newscast3.缩写例如:VIP→VeryImportantPersonGRE→GraduateRecordExamination练习:1.Turn_____________(右边)andyouwillfindthedirectionis_____________(对的).2.Heisa___________
