Symptoms

Thepredominantsymptomofamigraineheadacheisasharppainononeorbothsidesofthehead.Paleness,sweating,andsensitivitytolightmayaccompanythepain.Awarningsensationmayindicateanapproachingmigraineheadache.Beforethepainbegins,someindividualsmayseeflashinglightsor"shootingstars",hearnoises,orhaveanuncomfortablefeelinginthearmsorlegs.

Diagnosis

Treatment

Prevention

2.IstheExpansionofEnrollmentaGoodThing?Manycollegesanduniversitieshaveexpandedtheirenrollmentsince1998.Thereasonsfortheexpansionareasfollows.Firstlytheywanttokeepupwiththeneedofthejobmarkettoproducemorequalifiedpeopletotakeupthejobs.Secondlytheexpansionhasentitledmanyhighschoolgraduatestotherightofreceivinghighereducation.Lastbutnotleastitcanraisetheintellectualstandardsofournation.Howeverstudiesshowthatthetrendtoexpandhasbroughtaboutmanyproblems.Forinstancetheteachingfacilitiesandaccommodationcapacitiesofmanycollegesanduniversitiesarelimitedandareunabletomeetthedemandofanever-increasingnumberofthenewlyenrolledstudents.Ontheotherhandtheaveragequalityofthefreshmenisdeclining.Inthelongrunhuntingforajobwillbeatoughthingforthegraduatesandthatwillinevitablyexertmuchpressureontheprospectsofemployment.InspiteofallthisIamstillconfidentthattheexpansionofenrollmentisofgreatbenefittooursocietyandisagoodthing.Withthedevelopmentofournationaleconomytheproblemasmentionedabovewillbesolvedifpropermeasuresaretaken.IstheExpansionofEnrollmentaGoodThing?Manycollegesanduniversitieshaveexpandedtheirenrollmentsince1998.Thereasonsfortheexpansionareasfollows.Firstly,theywanttokeepupwiththeneedofthejobmarkettoproducemorequalifiedpeopletotakeupthejobs.Secondly,theexpansionhasentitledmanyhighschoolgraduatestotherightofreceivinghighereducation.Lastbutnotleast,itcanraisetheintellectualstandardsofournation.However,studiesshowthatthetrendtoexpandhasbroughtaboutmanyproblems.Forinstance,theteachingfacilitiesandaccommodationcapacitiesofmanycollegesanduniversitiesarelimitedandareunabletomeetthedemandofanever-increasingnumberofthenewlyenrolledstudents.Ontheotherhand,theaveragequalityofthefreshmenisdeclining.Inthelongrun,huntingforajobwillbeatoughthingforthegraduatesandthatwillinevitablyexertmuchpressureontheprospectsofemployment.Inspiteofallthis,Iamstillconfidentthattheexpansionofenrollmentisofgreatbenefittooursocietyandisagoodthing.Withthedevelopmentofournationaleconomy,theproblemasmentionedabovewillbesolvedifpropermeasuresaretaken.
