Withthecontinuousdevelopmentoftheeconomy,talenthasbecomethemostvaluableresourceforanycountry.Thedevelopmentofhigh-qualityEnglisheducationincollegesanduniversitiesisparticularlyimportantforthecultivationofEnglishtalents.HowtobuildamoremodernandpracticalEnglishteachingmodelthatcanadapttotheneedsofeconomicdevelopmentisanimportantissuefacedbyhighereducationinstitutions.ThispaperexplorestheimportanceandstrategiesofcultivatingEnglishtalentsinhighereducationinstitutionsfromtheperspectiveofeconomicdevelopment.

Thecurrenteraisaneraofrapiddevelopmentoftheeconomy.Theimprovementofeconomicdevelopmentrequireshigh-qualitytalentsassupport.Highereducationinstitutionsplayanimportantroleintalentcultivation.Inrecentyears,withthedeepeningofglobalization,English,asaninternationallanguage,hasbecomeimportanttosocialandeconomicdevelopment.ThecultivationofprofessionalEnglishtalentsincollegesanduniversitiesisparticularlyimportant.

Tocultivatehigh-qualityEnglishtalents,highereducationinstitutionsneedtoconstantlyinnovateteachingmethodsandfocusonpracticalteaching.First,itisnecessarytousevariousformsofteaching,suchaslectures,discussions,andpracticalsessions,toachieveacomprehensiveunderstandingofEnglish.Second,highereducationinstitutionsneedtostrengthentheircollaborationwithforeigninstitutions,establishatwo-wayexchangemechanismandimprovethequalityofinternationaleducation.Third,highereducationinstitutionsneedtocreateamorecomprehensiveandscientificevaluationsystem,whichcangivestudentssufficientfeedbackandprovideaneducationalenvironmentthatmeetsindividualneeds.

Secondly,itisimportanttouseavarietyofteachingmaterialsandresourcesthatarerelevanttotheneedsofstudents.Whiletextbooksarestilluseful,theyshouldnotbethesolefocusofEnglishlanguagelearning.Interactiveonlineresources,suchasgames,multimediacontent,andsocialmediashouldalsobeutilizedtomakethelearningprocessmoreengagingandinterestingforstudents.
