表（二）一般过去时的主要常用时间状语因为一般过去时表示过去某一特定时间段里发生的动作或存在的状态，所以，通常用一些特定时间状语用在句中。现归纳如下表：时间状语类型例句特别提醒yesterday(morning,afternoon,evening);thedaybeforeyesterday=1\*GB3①ShewenttoShanghaiyesterday.=2\*GB3②Theydidn’tswimintheriveryesterdayafternoon.=3\*GB3③Wehadameetingthedaybeforeyesterday.(2)lastweek(month,year,spring,summer,autumn,winter,Monday)=1\*GB3①AlicesawamovielastSundayevening.=2\*GB3②Theylivedtherelastyear.=3\*GB3③Weplantedmanytreeslastspring.(3)段时间+ago=1\*GB3①HearrivedinChongqinganhourago.一小时前他到了重庆。=2\*GB3②Hisfatherworkedinthatfactorythreeyearsago.三年前，他父亲在哪工厂工作。(4)in+过去的年份Shestudiedinourschoolin2000.在2000年，她曾在我校学习。(5)其它=1\*GB3①Weheardapieceofgoodnewsjustnow.刚才，我们听到一则好消息。=2\*GB3②Mr.GreenwenttostudyinChinaafterhegraduatedfromcollege.格林先生大学毕业后就去了中国工作。这里的其它，主要一些特定的表示过去时间的短语，如atthattime,before5o’clock以及when,after,if,before,assoonas等引导的时间状语以及上下文的时态一致。

表（三）动词过去式的变化规则英语动词用在一般过去时的句中，动词有变化形式。它的变化分为规则变化与不规则变化。本讲座主要谈规则动词的过去式变化规则。而不规则动词的变化形式，须大家根据初中英语不规则动词变化表去逐一记忆。请看规则动词的过去式变化形式。变化规则例词（1）直接在词尾加--edreach--reachedplant---planted,work---worked,look---looked（2）以--e结尾，加--dmove--movedarrive--arrivedlive--lived（3）以“辅音字母+y”结尾，y变i加--edstudy--studiedcarry--carriedtry--tried（4）以重读闭音节结尾，双写最末一字母，再加--edstop--stoppedplan--planned

表（四）一般过去时的主要用法。用法示例特别提醒(1)表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态=1\*GB3①ShevisitedtheGreatWallyesterday.昨天他去游览长城了。=2\*GB3②TheywenttoEnglandforaholidaylastsummer.去年夏天他们去英国度假。(2)表示过去经常发生的动作或存在的状态。=1\*GB3①Hewenttothehospitalonceaweeklastyear.去年他每周到医院一次。=2\*GB3②Sheoftenwenttoschoolwhenshestudiedthere.她在那里学习的时候，她经常骑自行车去上学。(3)用于虚拟语气句中，表示与现在事实相反的情况=1\*GB3①IfIwereyou,Iwouldtakeasmallpresent.如果我是你的话，我就带上一件小物。=2\*GB3②IfIwonamilliondollars,I’dgiveittocharities.要是我赢了一百万元，我要捐给慈善机构。在虚拟条件从句IfIwereyou句中，were不可改为was。【典型考例1】（2019四川广元）---Whatdidyoudothedaybeforeyesterday?---I__________foranEnglishtest.A.study B.studied C.studying【析】正确答案：B。句意是：前天你做了什么？我复习英语考试。根据上文的特殊疑问句为一般过去时，下文也应使用同样的时态，所以正确答案为B。【典型考例2】（2019江苏南京）----Wendy,howlonghaveyouhadtheHuaweiP30Pro'l.----Acoupleofdays.I______itlastweek.A.boughtB.buyC.willbuyD.havebought【析】正确答案：A。句意是：温蒂，你买了华为P30Pro’l多久了？几天。上周我才买的。因为句末有表示一般过去时的时间状语lastweek（上周），因此该句动词应使用一般过去时，所以，正确答案为A。【典型考例3】（2019湖北鄂州）---Mary,Irememberyou______severalyearsago.---Yes,I______for3years. A.married,havemarried B.married,married C.married,havebeenmarried D.havemarried,havebeenmarried【析】正确答案：C。句意是：玛丽，我记得你几年前结婚了。是的，我已经结婚3年了。第一句的宾语从句末有表示一般过去时的时间状语severalyearsago（几年前），故宾语从句的动词使用一般过去时。第二句因为句末有“for+段时间”，故句中动词应为表示延续性动词的现在完成时。所以，该题的正确答案为C。【典型考例4】（2019湖北武汉）.He_____hisEnglishteacherwhenhewassightseeinginParis.A.hasmetB.hadmetC.metD.wouldmeet【析】正确答案：C。句意是：他在巴黎观光时，遇见了他的英语老师。因为时间状语从句的谓语动词为一般过去时，主语的谓语动词表示动作在同时发生，故时态应一致，所以，正确答案为C。
