Todaythechildrenofthiscountryhaveatlastreturnedtowork.Aftertwomonths'holidaypupilshavestartedanewterm.Howmanyadultsgetsuchlongholidays?Twotofourweeksinthesummerandpublicholidays—that'salltheworkingmangets.Asfortheaveragewoman,she'sluckytogetaholidayatall.Childrendon'tneedsuchlongholidays.Interm-timetheystartworklaterandfinishearlierthananyoneelse.
Intheholidaysmostofthemgetbored,andsomegetintotrouble.Whatawaste!Iftheiroverworkedparentsweregivenmorefreetimeinstead,everyonewouldbehappier.
