特洛伊木马是《木马屠城记》里记载着的希腊军队用来攻破特洛伊城的那只大木马。而《木马屠城记》则是古希腊诗人荷马在其两部著作《伊利亚特》与《奥德赛》里所记载的希腊与特洛伊人发生的特洛伊战争的一部分,是整个战役中的最后一个故事。在这个故事情节之前,特洛伊人打败了希腊的军队。希腊联军围困特洛伊久攻不下,于是假装撤退,留下一具巨大的中空木马,特洛伊守军不知是计,把木马运进城中作为战利品。夜深人静之际,木马腹中躲藏的希腊士兵打开城门,特洛伊沦陷。
