宾语从句的定义及结构从句原形引导词例句陈述句that(在口语或非正式文体中常省略)Marythinks(that)theteamswerefantastic.一般疑问句whether,if(在口语中常用if)Iwonderif/whetherAprilisagoodtimetovisitThailand.特殊疑问句who,what,which,when,where,why,howCanyoutellmewhosheis?Doyouknowwhenthebookstoreclosestoday?宾语从句的引导词if或whether引导宾语从句时,作“是否”讲,一般情况下,两者常可换用。在动词不定式之前只能用whetherIcan’tdecidewhethertostay.在whether…ornot的固定搭配中Iwanttoknowwhetherit’sgoodnewsornot.在介词后,只能用whether。IworryaboutwhetherIhurtherfeelings.宾语从句放在句首表示强调时Whetheritistrueornot,Ican’ttell.
只用whether宾语从句的语序一.由于if和whether引导的是一般疑问句,要把从句语序改为陈述句语序。如:Couldyoutellmeif/whetherMr.ZhaolivesinRoom6?

主句+连接词
