《大纲说明》是对《考试大纲》的诠释。对考试要求、考试形式、试卷结构作具体说明。

《考试大纲》“要求词汇量为3500左右”,同时说明:“各省(自治区、直辖市)可以根据本地实际情况在《考试说明》中对词汇量进行适当调整,但不得低于3000个单词。同时,应制订计划,在一定时间内分期、分批增加至3500个单词。
