Thereisnothingimportantinthepaper. Lastyearwebuiltabuildingthirteenstoreyshigh. 如:aChinesewritingdesk一张中式写字桌hercharmingsmallroundpinkface她迷人的小而圆的粉红脸蛋thosebeautifullittleoldChineseearthenvases 那些漂亮小巧的中国古代花瓶四、形容词比较级和最高级的构成构成方式例词规则变化单音节和部分双音节词一般在词尾加-er,-estsmall→smaller→smallest以不发音的字母e结尾的词,加-r,-stlarge→larger→largest以两个辅音字母加一个元音字母结尾的重读闭音节词,双写词尾的辅音字母,再加-er,-estbig→bigger→biggestthin→thinner→thinnest以"辅音字母+y"结尾的词,变y为i,再加-er,-estbusy→busier→busiest少数以er或ow结尾的双音节词,词尾加-er,-estnarrow→narrower→narrowestclever→cleverer→cleverest多音节其他双音节词和多音节词及分词形容词,在词前加more,mostimportant→moreimportant→mostimportant不规则变化bad/ill→worse→worst;much/many→more→most;good/well→better→best;far→farther/further→farthest/furthest;old→older/elder→oldest/eldest;little→less→least【易错辨析】1.farther/farthest和further/furthest的区别:二者表示距离时,往往可互换,但是用于引申义,表示程度时,只能使用后者。如:Hecanthrowmuchfarther/furtherthanyou. HissuggestionisthatKateshouldbesentabroadforfurthereducation. 如:I’mtwoyearsolderthanhim. Hiselderbrotherworksinaclothingfactory. 如:TheweatherinBeijingisnotas(=so)hotasthatinWuhan. 5.句式:A+be+形容词最高级of/in… Heisveryhappytoday. Whathappened?"Iasked,ratherangrily." Inspring,Icanseeflowerseverywhere. 时间副词:today,early,soon,now,then,recently,still(1)表示发生时间的副词:It’sbeginningtorainnow! 2.地点副词:here,there,out,somewhere,abroad,home等。 4.程度副词:very,much,enough,almost,rather,quite等。5.频度副词:always,often,usually,sometimes,seldom,never等。 注意:在比较级+than的结构前可以加上某些副词类和表示倍数的词,以对其进行修饰如:far(远),even(甚至),much(许多),still(更,还),alot(许多),alittle/bit(一点),rather(相当地),slightly(略微),notany(不再),threetimes(三倍)等。 Themorewehave,themorewewant. 4.句式:no+比较级+than的结构表示"A和B一样不……"。 形容词和副词专项练习一、选择填空()1.Whichis________LessonFiveorLessonSix?A.interestingB.moreinterestingC.mostinterestingD.themostinteresting()2.Sorry,Ican’tansweryourquestion.Iknow________aboutthenews.A.alittleB.littleC.fewD.afew()3.“I’vegotanAformyhistory.”Judysaid________.A.sadlyB.sadC.happyD.happily()4.Ithinkthesonginthefilm“Titanic”isoneofthe________filmsongs.A.themostbeautifulB.mostbeautifulC.muchmorebeautifulD.abeautiful()5.Jimworksas________asZhangHua.A.carefulB.carefullyC.morecarefulD.mostcarefully()6.Canyou________speaktoapersoninoldclothes?A.kindB.kindlyC.politeD.friendly()7.Justamoment,please!I’llfinishin________fiveminutes.A.anotherB.otherC.moreD.less()8.Whojumped________ofallinthelongjump?A.longestB.longerC.fartherD.farthest()9.Mysisterisn’t________maths.A.goodforB.wellinC.goodatD.bestat()10.Ofalltheshoesinyourshop,isthispair________one?A.verygoodB.muchbetterC.acheaperD.thecheapest()11.Jackdidn’trun________tocatchupwiththeotherrunners.A.fastenoughB.quickenoughC.enoughslowD.slowlyenough()12.Indiahasthesecond________populationintheworld.A.mostB.largestC.leastD.smallest()13.Wehave________milkforbaby.You’dbettergoandbuysome.A.littleB.alittleC.fewD.afew()14.Jimhas________friendshere.Soheoftenfeelslonely.A.alittleB.littleC.afewD.few()15.Lucyhasmadequite________friendssinceshecamehere.She’sveryhappy.A.fewB.littleC.afewD.few()16.Theoldwomanlives________,buthedoesn'tfeel________.A.alone,aloneB.alone,lonelyC.lonely,lonelyD.lonely,alone()17.Mrs.GreengaveLucy________toeat.A.delicioussomethingB.ChinesesomethingC.somethingEnglishD.somethingEngland()18.Mumwillgivehim________toeat.A.somethingrealChineseB.realChinesesomethingC.somethingreallyChineseD.reallyChinesesomething()19.Icouldn’tseemuchduringtheflightbecausetherewas________cloud.A.toomanyB.toomuchC.muchtooD.alot()20.Thesweaterisverybeautiful,butit’s________dear.A.toomuchB.muchtooC.manyD.more()21.Today,________treesarestillbeingcutdownsomewhereintheworld.A.muchtooB.toomuchC.manytooD.toomany()22.Ithinkfootballis________basketballinAmerica.A.morepopularB.sopopularasC.aspopularasD.lesspopular()23.Shanghaiisthe________ofallthecitiesinChina.A.largeB.largerC.largestD.mostlarge()24.Theboydoesn’trun________thebus.A.muchfasterasB.asfastestasC.morefastthanD.sofastas()25.Germanyhas________peoplethanFrance.A.fewerB.smallerC.largeD.more()26.ThepopulationofXi’anis________thanthatofShanghai.A.smallerB.fewerC.moreD.larger
