1、SuperKids 3 Unit 5 Careers1. Teaching content. This lesson we will learn four dialogs. For the coherence, I change the order of the four dialogs. In the book, the order is 1,2,3,4. And my order is 1,3,4,2.2. About the students. Our students are in Grade 3. They are active and curious, interested in

After learning English for 2 years, they have some basic English background knowledge, so the teacher should attach importance to the communication with them, providing them the chances of using language. 3. Teaching aims and teaching aids.1)After this lesson, students can understand the
3、 meaning and read the four dialogs. 2) Students can get useful information from the dialogs and make new dialogs.3) Ss abilities of listening and speaking will be developed.4) The fourth one is moral object. In this lesson I will guide them to make a goal and teach them to study hard from now on. 5)
4、 And in this lesson, I need flash cards, sentences cards, PPT, CD player, head portraits of the SuperKids and practice paper for Ss. 4. Key and difficult points. 1) Students can read the dialogs with emotion. 2) To guide students make new dialogs in groups. 3) To develop Ss interest in English.5. Te
5、aching methods. In this lesson, Ill mainly use Task-based teaching method and Communicative language teaching method. And the Ss will be divided into three groups. Let them have a competition in the class. Make them active. 6. Teaching procedures. I will finish the lesson in 8 steps. Step 1 Greeting
6、s and free talk Step 2 RevisionReview the words about careers in order to give the topic: Careers.Step 3 Dialog 1Have Ss listen to the story and answer the following questions to lead out Dialog 1. And write the dialog on the board. = 1 * GB3 Who is the new friend? = 2 * GB3 What is she? Let student
7、s listen to the dialog and repeat.3) Practice for Dialog 1 = 1 * GB3 One student to be the teacher, one student to be Ms. Long, and the others to be students. I will give them a example. = 2 * GB3 One group to be the teacher, one group to be Ms. Long, and the last group to be SuperKids. Then take tu
8、rns. Step 4 Dialog 2 To use to photos of the Ss relatives to lead out the second sentence of Dialog then show them the PPT about Chips father. Have Ss listen and find what does Chip say. Then show them the whole dialog.Have students listen and repeat Dialog 2.Practice for Dialog 2Boys to be Chip, gi
9、rls to be Sandy. And then exchange. Dialog 2 is very easy, so the practice way has only one. Step 5 Dialog 3Have students look at Chips father on PPT and have Ss guess “What is he?” Then lead out Dialog 3: Is he a ? Teacher asks the different career from to picture, then the sentence No, he isnt is
10、given. Then ask What is he ?The last sentence Hes a pilot is out.Listen and repeat Dialog 3 twice. Then let students read the dialog in lines and rows.Read Dialog 2 and 3 together. Practice about Dialog 2 and 3.-Thats my .-Oh, really! Is he a ?-No, he isnt. Hes a . = 1 * GB3 -Thats my .-Oh, really!

Then lead out Dialog 4.2) Let students look at Dialog 4, listen and repeat. (If they can read well, listen it once. If they cant, listen it twice.)4) Practice for

Then exchange. = 3 * GB3 Show a PPT to the students. Give them more pictures about careers, have students wor
