15、of research has been done but actually there is no clear answer to the questions.No matter who it was, the inventor must have been a very smart person. No doubt he understood our brain very well. When we think over a problem, our mind makes up some very different ways to solve the problem. The more

16、we think on the problem, the better we understand the topic, and the better our abilities get in that subject.But why not do that in school? Why homework?Because no one is there to help you solve those problems. If this is being done in school, other students may help you with your problems, and the

17、 thinking part of the problems wouldnt exist. The teacher can teach the topic, and discuss some problems at school. But, how to assess (评估) how much you have understood? Homework helps. How well you do on your homework makes it clear.It really is a win-win situation. If you have understood what was

18、taught, the homework is a piece of cake, and you should finish it easily. You now have time for whatever other activities you want to do. But if you have not understood something, the homework helps you realize this, and you can take steps towards improving that.
