1、My faceobjectives : -Students will be able to review the vocabulary from last lesson through a game -Students will be able to understand the meanings of the words, face, eyes, nose mouth and ears and pronounce them correctly. Materials: Moving whiteboard. Board markers puppet doll face making kit 1.
2、 White board game ( review on the vocabulary from last lesson) ( 10mins) -Divide students into two teams, A and B -Explain the rules in BOTH English and Chinese - Students compete each other to form the word that teacher says. e.g Teacher says book , everyone in each team takes turn to run up to the
3、 board and write down one letter at a time. The team who finishes up writing the word first wins the game. 2. face ppt ( 15mins) -Students sit around TV -Go through alphabets to practise their sounds - Teacher sounds out each word and have students repeat after her. - Students start to recognize the
4、se words through matching the word with the picture and picture with the word. -Have students practise pronouncing these words once again through head and shoulders knees and toes song. 3.puppet show + face making activities ( 10mins ) -Sit around in a circle and teacher sit down. -Show the puppet d
5、oll and point at dolls eyes, nose, mouth, ears and face so that students can answer in English. - Always have students put their hands up. - Pair students up by giving them alphabet letters and telling them AC, BD, EF are going to work together. -Hand out the empty face and spread the face part item
6、s on the floor in the middle. - When teacher ask them to make eyes, the teams need to work together to stick on their faces. - Continue until the who faces are made. 4. Simon says ( 5mins) -Students stay sitting in a carpet area. -Explain how to play simon says both in English and Chinese -Exclude the ones who got it wrong from the group and continue until there is a winner. (award with sticker) - repeat several times until all the students seem to be able to recall every word. 5. Putting their photos + Cleaning
