1、 同位语从句误区探秘同位语从句是对与之同位的名词中心词作进一步解释,说明该名词的具体内容,一般由that引导。能接同位语从句的常见名词有:idea, fact, news, belief, hope, evidence, opinion, problem, truth, answer, proposal, theory, decision, discovery, thought等。误区一 引导同位语从句的that 可以省略that引导同位语从句时,仅起连词作用,没有实际意义,也不在从句中作任何成分,且表示肯定或明确意义,但不能省略。例1 Some researchers believe tha
2、t there is no doubt _ a cure for AIDS will be found.(05广东) A. which B. that C. what D. whether【解题指导】在doubt, possibility, order, news, word, idea, hope, suggestion, information, plan, thought, fear, belief等名词后,说明其具体内容的从句是同位语从句,从句中不缺句子成分,意义非常完整,用that引导。故答案是B。例2 Danby left word with my secretary _ he w

4、h,连接副词how, when, where, why,how等引导。在doubt, question, fear等表示“怀疑,疑问”等意义的抽象名词后的同位语从句通常用whether引导,且表示不肯定或不明确,即含“是否”之意,此时从句也不缺句子成分。例3 The question _ it is right or wrong depends on situation. 6、语从句与定语从句混用同位语从句是说明名词中心词(往往是一些表事实或概念的抽象名词)的具体内容,that引导同位语从句时,起连词作用,没有实际意义,也不作句子的任何成分,一般不能省略;而定语从句是对先行词加以修饰、限制,描述先行词的性质、特征,that在定语从句中充当一定的句子成分,为关系代词,作宾语时,that可以省略。例5 Theres a feeling in me _ well never know what a UFO is not ever.(02上海) A. that B. which C. of which D. what 【解题指导】根据句意判断,从句well never kn
