4、e environment is a main topic in the college entrance exam and air pollution becomes a hit topic these days, this class plays an important role in environment protection.In the class, we will hold different activities to raise students environment protection awareness. And we aim to use the hit topi

5、cs and things around us to help students think over the importance of environment protection. The use of coal formed a thick layer of smog over the city. 4,000 people had died as a direct result of the smog and 100,000 more were made ill(illness) by the smogs effects. London had suffered since the 1200s from poor air quality,which worsened in the 1600s, but the Great Smog is known to be the worst(bad) air-pollution event in the history of the United Kingdom.
