1、专题七 数词【考点展示】掌握基数词、序数词的基本用法掌握 hundred， thousand， million ，billion 表达确数和概数时的用法掌握分数的表达法【知识梳理】一、基数词的用法表数量的多少表示年份，如 1988 年读作 nineteen eighty-eight表时刻，如 7:00 读作 seven oclock表示顺序。单数名词+基数词，名词的第一个字母要大写。如 Class Two; Room 12 ; No.3 Middle School 注意：“单数词+基数词”可以转换成“the + 序数词 +单数名词”，此时第一个字母不大写。如：Lesson Three = th

2、e third lesson“基数词+单数名词”相当于合成形容词作定语。 如：a three- year- old girl. 合成形容词不能作表语，后面必须跟上所修饰的名词。与表示时间、距离、长度的名词一起构成“基数词+单位名词+形容词”，表示事物的形状、年代及距离。 如 ten years old;3000 meters long“几十”的基数词复数形式可用来表示某人几十多岁或表示年代。e.g. : In his sixties, he rode a bike round the world. 3、ore 连用时，表示在已有的基础上增加一定的数量。如：another three hourshundred、thousand、million、billion 等词表示确定数目时，直接在其前面加基数词；表示不确定数目时， 要在它们后面加-s，其后还要加 of。e.g. : three hundred students ; 三百名学生thousands of students 成千上万的学生二、序数词的用法序数词表示顺序序数词前面须有定冠词 the,后接单数名词序数词前若出现形容词性物主代词、名词所有格等限定词，则不加 thee.g. ： Today is my birthday.序数词前面也可以

4、加不定冠词 a 或 an,表示“又一、再一”，内含顺序性。e.g. : She had a second child.三、分数1.分子用基数，分母用序数。分子为 1，分母用单数；分子大于 1，分母用复数e.g. 五分之一 one fifth ;五分之三 three fifths注意一些习惯用法：1/4 也可以表示为 a quarter ;3/4 可以表示为 three quarter, 1/2 也可以表示为 a half 2.带分数的短语作句子的主语时，谓语动词的单复数与分数后的名词保持一致。e.g. ：Two fifths of the apple is eaten.
