1、ENGINEERING STANDARDS SECTION 2 - HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING Wires and cables shall be as follows: Single Conductor (primary voltage/a.c.): 1.5 mm2 (or equivalent) stranded copper with 600 volt insulation colour coded in accordance with local wiring regulations, for use in conduit. La
2、rger size cables shall be provided where necessary to limit the voltage drop to 2.5%. 1.5 mm2 shall be used for instrument heat tracing feeders. Signal Cables (4-20 mA Analog): For Use in Areas Other than Air Plenums:2/C 1.0 mm2 (or equivalent) shielded and multi-pair 0.75mm2 (or equivalent) individ
3、ually shielded.For Use in Air Plenums: Plenum type Teflon insulated, 2/C 1.0 mm2 shielded and multi-pair 1.0 mm2 individually shielded. NOTE: The cables listed above have conductors with 300-volt insulation ratings. Similar cables with 600-volt insulation ratings must be provided for any cable termi
4、nating within or occupying an enclosure containing conductors operating at a voltage greater than 230 volts (ie, 400 volt motor starter enclosure) Alarm, Digital Input/Output and Control Cables (24-volt ac): For Use in Areas Other Than Air Plenums: 2/C 1.0 mm2, and multi-pair 0.75 mm2. For Use in Ai
5、r Plenums: Plenum type Teflon insulated, 2/C 1.0 mm2 and multi-pair 0.75 mm2. Larger gauge cables shall be provided where necessary to limit the voltage drop to 1.2volts. NOTE: The cables listed above have conductors with 300 volt insulation ratings. Similar cables with 600 volt insulation ratings m
6、ust be provided for any cable terminating within or occupying an enclosure containing conductors operating at a voltage greater than 250 volts (i.e., 400 volt motor starter enclosure). 8、elded cable, and shall be run in trays where available, otherwise in approved raceways. Tags for wires and cables shall be clip-sleeve type nonmetallic wire markers or equivalent. For conduit fittings, conduit hangers and supports, terminal junction boxes, expansion joints, sleeves and wiring device
9、s, comply with local wiring regulations. Electrical Wiring Installation All wiring in Mechanical Equipment Rooms, communications or electrical closets shall be in approved raceways (cable tray, conduit, etc). Open wiring strung above ceilings shall be plenum rated cable, bundled together and protect
10、ed from mechanical damage. Wiring shall be independently supported from the building structure with bridal rings and clips. The supporting of wiring from mechanical ductwork or piping is not acceptable. Cables for primary voltage a.c. wiring and low level signal wiring (ie, 4-20 mA analog) shall alw
11、ays be run in separate raceways. Use liquid tight flexible metal conduit, 20mm minimum size, for making connections at instruments and devices mounted on piping or vessels or on equipment subject to vibration. Low level signal wiring home runs to local control stations may be by means of multi-pair
12、cables. The number of pairs in such cables shall be uniform throughout the installation, and in general, there shall be at least 20% spare pairs in each such cable. Primary voltage a.c. circuits used for control and instrumentation shall be taken from panelboards connected to the emergency power dis
13、tribution system, with the exception of circuits powered from motor starters. Panelboard and circuit breakers shall be provided under the Electrical Section, but the wiring and raceway materials and installation for ATC system power requirements shall be furnished under this Section. Primary voltage
14、 a.c. circuits used for control and instrumentation shall be dedicated to the ATC system and shall not be used for any other purposes. Conduits shall be run exposed in mechanical spaces, concealed in occupied space, and parallel or perpendicular to structural members or architectural features. Bends

16、and necessary to avoid excessively long runs or too many bends between outlets. Fittings in conduit containing multi-conductor cables shall be oversized to accommodate 3 times cable bending radius for 90 degree bends and 4 times bending radius for straight runs. Conduits shall be offset where they e
17、nter surface mounted equipment. Wiring installed in panels and other enclosures shall be neatly looped and laced. Conduit runs, which extend from the interior to the exterior of a building, shall be sealed to prevent the circulation of air. This shall be accomplished by the installation of sealing f
18、ittings. All signal wires shall be tagged with their wire designations and all signal cable pairs shall be tagged with their service designations where terminated at devices and in terminal boxes. Wires shall be terminated with insulated spade type lugs on screw terminals. Soldered connections shall
19、 only be made at instruments where no other means of termination is practical. Perform continuity testing for all wiring installed. Control raceways shall not be hung from electrical raceways or attached to ceiling grid hanger wires. No 300 volt insulated wiring shall terminate within or occupy any
20、enclosure containing conductors operating at a voltage greater than 300 volts. This particularly applies to any analogue or digital I/O wiring entering 230-volt motor starter enclosures or motor control centres. . System Control Type The basic control sequences which follow are to be used as
21、a guide for the type of operation desired. Variations are to be expected depending upon the individual system being designed. Refer to relevant BMS schematics for these systems characteristics. 1. 43、control of individual temperature sensors on leaving side of each preheat coil section. Supply and Return Fans On: Outdoor air dampers open to minimum position, return air damper opens, preheat coil valve under control of sensor in leaving side of preheat coil. During winter operation submaster sens
44、or in fan discharge duct, reset by room thermostat, shall control, in sequence, preheat coil valve, variable outdoor air, return air dampers, cooling coil valve and reheat core valve to maintain room temperature. In summer operation submaster sensor, reset by room thermostat shall control in sequenc
45、e preheat coil valve, cooling coil valves and reheat coil valves to maintain room temperature. A summer-winter enthalpy switch shall switch the system from winter to summer operation. Room humidity sensor shall also operate cooling coil valve for dehumidification to maintain a maximum of 50% relativ
46、e humidity. The room temperature sensor or humidity sensor calling for the most cooling shall position the cooling coil valve. / Low temperature switch on entering side of cooling coil shall stop both supply and return fans when temperature drops below set point, through time delay. Pressure switch
47、at supply fan inlet stops fan on excessive suction pressure. Provide warm-up/cool-down switch to close outdoor dampers and open return air dampers to permit system operation under full recirculation mode for periods of non-occupancy. Spill damper is controlled by static pressure set point. Refer to

Air Conditioning: Variable volume, preheat and cooling coils, variable volume boxes with heating coil Supply and Return Fan Off: Outdoor air, spill air and return air dampers closed, cooling coil valve closed, supply fan and return fan inlet vanes to minimum position. 49、h preheat coil valve under control of individual temperature sensors on leaving side of each preheat coil section. Supply and Return Fan On: A time delay switch should permit return air damper to open, then the minimum outdoor air damper shall open and the fans shall start. Preheat coil under contro
50、l of a sensor on the leaving side of the coil. In summer operation a thermostat in fan discharge duct shall control the preheat and cooling coil valve to maintain scheduled supply air temperature. A static pressure sensor, located midway i
52、n the supply duct, shall control the inlet vanes of the supply and return air fans. Return air volume shall vary compatibly with the supply air volume. A static pressure transmitter located in the supply fan discharge duct shall measure fan discharge static pressure. If the fan discharge static pres

Lighting Control Corridor, back-of-house areas and exterior lighting shall automatically be controlled by the DDC
57、system, based on time of day schedule or an astronomic software programme. The DDC system shall activate digital outputs to lighting panels to turn on various lighting zones.
