1、Unit 3 What would you like?Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! I am No.1 candidate, applying for English teacher of primary school. Its my pleasure to stand here and share my teaching thoughts with all of you! My topic is “What would you like?” Today Im going to describe my thoughts in the following

2、 6 aspects: analysis of teaching material, analysis of students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard design.In the first place, I will analyze teaching material. This lesson comes from Part B, Read and Write, Unit 3, PEP Primary English, Book 5. The topic of this u

3、nit is about how to express somebodys favourite food. In this lesson.It mainly deals with two notes from Yifan and Grandpa to Robin to talk about their favorite food.This topic is closely related to students daily life, therefore,on studying the teaching material, I put forward the teaching aims acc

4、ording to English new lesson standard. Firstly, knowledge and skill aims: The students can listen, read, spell and write the sentences: My favourite food is Its. I dont likebutis OK. I likebut not and the Ss can use the sentences to express their favourite food. Secondly, process and method aims: Th

5、e Ss can understand the letter and get some information; Ss can master the format of note.Thirdly, emotional and attitude aims: Cultivate Sss ability of cooperation and broaden their horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. According to analysis of teaching material, the key points of this l

6、esson are to help students understand the notes and Ss can listen, read and write the sentences of My favourite food is Its. I dont likebutis OK. I likebut not to express their favourite food. The difficult point is to help the students to use this sentences to communicate in their daily life and ma

7、ster the format of note. Based on the knowledge the students have and the requirements of the new curriculum standard. Make sure the students take part in class. Ask and answer in pairs and groups. Ill use task-based method, communicative method, group cooperate method, TPR method, performance and g

8、ames methods to teach this lesson. I will let the Ss learn in real situations. In order to interest the Ss, Ill use some pictures, words and sentence cards, and the multimedia computer as my teaching aids and to help me to achieve the aims. Then we come to the most important part-teaching procedures

9、, which will be demonstrated in the following steps: Step 1Lead-in At the beginning of the class, I will tell the students good news that Robin will cook for us this weekend. We can write a note to him about what you would like to eat. But do you know how to write a note? Design purpose: Create a re

10、al scene could capture the students attention and stimulate their interests. Step2. Pre-reading I will show the two notes on PPT, and students can observe and discuss the format of notes.Design purpose: Cultivate the students ability of self- study, and give them a first impression of how to write a

11、 note to make a preparation for the new lesson. Step3. While-readingActivity 1: Answer the questions. Before reading, I will give some questions, and then students can read the notes with questions, and after reading, answer the questions. Activity 2: Finish the blank. I will draw a blank about Yifa

12、n and Grandpas favorite and unfavorite food, students can work in pairs to finish the blanks after reading. Design purpose: Improve their reading skills and help students to grasp the detailed information of the notes. Step4. Post-reading Task1: Do a survey. Students work in groups to do a survey ab

13、out your group members favorite and unfavorite food and make a table to write the results.Task 2: Make a report. Select a student to present your group results to the whole class according to your survey.Design purpose: Consolidate the knowledge we have learned in this class, and improve their abili

14、ty of learning by doing. Step5. Summary Ss make a summary on what they have learned this class, and I will make supplement that we have known how to express our favourite food and whats more, we should broaden our horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. Design purpose: Check the Ss weak points and what they have learned this class. Teacher make supplements based on the students summary, and arouse the students awareness of broaden our horizon by studying Chinese and western culture. Step6. Homework Retell the notes Design purpose: Cultivate students
