1、Configuration tool (1)Many DeviceNet modules can be configured online using a DeviceNet configuration tool. Some modules will not function without online configuration (e.g. Allen-Bradley Point I/O)!The scan list of a scanner (master) can also be configured and saved on the scanner module using a co

2、nfiguration tool.Configuration is carried out online. The configuration tool is located on a PC. This is connected to the DeviceNet via a DeviceNet adapter. The best-known configuration tool is RS-Networx. This tool can be purchased from Rockwell-Automation. The scan list can only be loaded onto the

3、 LPDN scanner card. This function is not possible with MFC-DeviceNet.Configuration tool (2)Standard modules can be reconfigured using the configuration tool. The new configuration is saved on the module, protected against the effects of a power failure. A “reconfigured” module can no longer be repla

4、ced with a standard module. If it is necessary to replace a “reconfigured” module, the new module must first be reconfigured. In practice, this continually causes problems when reconfigured modules are replaced with standard modules with the same hardware.Configuration tool (3)Configuration with RS-
