Astronomy: the science of the stars【Reading : How life began on the earth 科目：英语教学对象： 高一学生课时：1提供者：张昌培单位：宁波滨海学校一、教学内容分析本单兀从天文学知识开始，再到地球生命的起源，让学生了解相关的天文知识、培养学生对科学的 兴趣、激发学生探究科学的热情的同时，反思人类活动对地球的影响，进而增强保护地球的意识。本 课时设计将 Warming up, Pre-reading, Reading和Comprehending四部分结合，整合成一个完整的

3、ide, prevent from, depend on, cheer up, now that, break out, 2.语言技能(Skills)本课时通过教学主要让学生狄取关于astronomy的相关信息，且进行阅读微技能训练。3学习策略(Strategy):学生能在一定程度上形成合作学习、自主学习、有效交际、信息处理和英语思维的能力。如：培养学 生使用图书馆、网络查阅有关星球的资料。4.情感态度(Affect):让学生了解生命的起源，增强其保护地球的意识。培养学生科学探索的精神。培养学生正确的阅读观，和良好的阅读习惯，加强其自主阅读的能力。培养学生合作和共享的学习态度。三、学习者特征分

4、析所执教班级学生央语基础普遍/、佳，对央语表达(书面和口语)和阅读理解方的血后更是很启困 难。但是通过一个多学期与学生的磨合，能得到学生的认可和亲近，这与我L直坚持对学生非智力因 素方面的努力有关，所以绝大部分学生乐学。本课时涉及的教学内容与科普阅读有关，而且出现大量 的生词，这对学生阅读能力是一个考验。所以在备课和课堂教学中需要把复杂的此类教学内容简化， 做好篇章的分析指导，使学生更好地理解了课文，清晰了解课文脉络。四、教学策略选择与设计本单兀以地球以及地球生命的起源为话题，让学生了解相关的天文学知识，培养学生对科学的兴趣，激发学生探究科学的热情。本课时设计将Warming up, Pre-

5、reading, Reading和Comprehending四部分结合，整合成一个完整的阅读课教学。通过本课时的教学使学生对本单元的话题和主要内容有 基本了解，以利于开展后续教学活动。同时通过文章中的一些探允性问题，如：The earth may become too hot for the lives on it. Then whatwill our future be? 以及设计问题：Do you think there ' s a chance to find intelligent beings( Alien/ET) onother planet(s) in the unive

6、rse? Can we find them or can they find us? 等引发学生的热烈讨论，从而激发 学生对天文学的了解和探究兴趣。五、教学重点及难点本单兀文章中专业名词较多，对学生是难点之一。同时又是典型的科技文类型阅读，此类文体是 高一学生乃至高中学生阅读的难点所在。在教学中如何引导学生分析科技类阅读文章的特点，理清文 章脉络，对学生进行阅读技能训练是教学的重点所在。六、教学过程教师活动学生活动设计意图Step 1: Warming Up /Before reading1. Explain the meaning of Astronomy"： Astronomy
