2、Sleep 这单元围绕 earthquakes 这 一主题开展听 ,说,读,写等多种教学活动 .本课型是本单元整体教学的重要环节 ,为学生的语言学 习,语法学习提供了载体 ,并且是学生获取信息的主要来源 .-A Night The Eearth Didnt Sleep ! 具体描写 1 976年唐山大地震的震前 ,震中和震后的情况 .本篇文章词汇量大 ,运用了大量的动词 , 复杂的数字 ,出现许多定语从句 ,篇幅较长 ,并且采用一些修辞手法 ,对学生的语言阅读能力提出 了更高的要求 .但文章的结构较明显 ,较容易归纳出各部分的中心词 .二. 教学目标根据新颁布的 普通高中英语课程标准 （实验稿

3、）关于阅读课主要教学目标的具体描述 ,结合本课教学内容 ,具体从语言目标 ,技能目标 ,情感态度和文化意识三个方面制定如下教学目标.1. 语言目 标 : 1让学 生了解自然灾 害的 相关词汇,并掌握复杂的 数 字表达法.2 学 习 掌 握 与 地 震 相 关 的 词 汇 ,如 :shake,rise,smelly,pipe,burst,steam,ruin,destroy,brick,dam,useless,steel,shock,quake,rescue,electricity,disaster,army,organize,bury,mine,shelter,fresh,percent 等，

4、以及right away ,at an end, digout ,give out, thousands of.2. 技能目标 : 1阅读技能的训练 :让学生通过略读 ,归纳文章大意 ;通过细读 ,理解文章总体架 构,并抓住文章细节 ,培养学生获取和处理信息的能力 .2让学生复述课文 ,分析,感悟作者的写作 意图.3. 情感态度与文化意识目标 : 1学会有关地震的知识 ,并能通过学习讨论懂得地震时的应急逃生 ,地震后如何科学救人和有关地震的形成和减少地震所造成的损失等一般知识.2了解自然灾害会给人类带来严重的破坏性后果 ,让学生知道与自然和谐相处之道 .三. 教学重点和难点教学重点是 :让学生

5、了解本文关于唐山大地震的细节,成因 ,预兆,地震以及损失 ,地震后的救援等等 .训练学生的阅读技巧 ,让学生把握文章段落大意 ,抓住细节 ,归纳总结等能力 .教学难点是 :让学生学会提取 ,筛选和重组文章中的信息 ,提高阅读理解能力和语言实践能力 .四. 教学方法和学生学习的方法通过 skimming 略读&scanning 精读的阅读方法，让学生用会用 skimming 略读 seanning 精读以及discussion 分组讨论等方式，结合视听教学，任务型教学，整体语言学习教学，合作型教学，情感激励教学等教学方法进行教学 .五. 教学过程 (Teaching Procedures
