They are the analysis of the materials; identifying the teaching aims and teaching procedures.Section 1: Analysis of the teaching materialThe selected teaching materials is, the article i

After analyzingit carefully, I find the articleSection 2: Identifying the teaching aimsBased on the analysis of the teaching materials, I will choose the following as the teaching aims of my lesson:The 1st aim: students will stren
4、gthen the skills and strategies to read efficiently.The 2nd aim: students will get a better understanding ofThe 3rd aim: students willbe encouraged to figureout the impliedmeaning.The 4th aim: students will be familiar with various expressions or approaches to express Section 3: teaching proceduresI
5、n order toachievethe teaching aims mentioned above, Idecideto chooseguided reading and task-based teaching as the main teaching approaches.With the teaching methods, I will guide students to use effect readingstrategiesto comprehend thetext, solve problemsand completedifferenttasks. The teaching pro

In this part, I will usethe pre- reading
7、activities to increase students concentration, arouse their curiosity, fire their imagination and give them the purpose of reading. This part consists of two tasks:Task 1:With the task, I inspire students previous knowledge and imagination about , which can draw their attention to the theme of the r
8、eading materials and get them ready for the following reading activities.Task2: brainstorming. In This task , I will show them some pics ofThis task will excite students desire to know more about, with thequestion in mind, students will definitely be eager to listen to the tape/to read the passage t
9、o find the answer.Part2. Pre-reading:During this part, I will asks the students to answer the following questions. Students are supposed to get the main idea of the text. Thispart includes tasks:Task 1. listeningWith the task, I get students to listen to the three paras instead ofreading them, thus
10、reducing the reading time and releasing theirpsychologicalburden, otherwisestudentswould be discouragedby reading.Task 2: scanning and matching:In this task , I get students to scan they are required to completeto check the answers to, then with a second reading.With this task, the students learn to
11、 use a table to gather the main facts about . They will cometo know that a table is of great use in their future reading.Task 3: scanning for details: I get the students to scan the remaining paras and find the answers to the questions.With this task, the students are expected to grasp the theme of

Sometimesstudents have to infer or make guess

So in thispart,studentsare asked to inferthe impliedmeaning,distinguish the main idea from the supporting details and understand how the text is organized. This part consists of three tasks.Task 1.similar sentences. The English language enjoys various ways
15、toexpress the samething or idea, I will get the stude nts to read a second time and find out the similar sentences.This task is designed to help students learn and use different ways toexpress the sameidea. The task gets students ready for talking and writing about Task 2. guessing from the context.
16、The task helps students to recognize that in most languagelearningsituations,they willcomeacross vacabury they dont know. With the task,the students are guided to look at the context in which a word or phrase is used and try to find any clues to its meaning.Task 3. collection.The task is intendedfor
