1、Standard Practice Procedures for Test & Inspection of the Plating电镀测试和检查标准的检测程序Scope 范围This document specifies the Engineering Requirements Specifications to be conducted at OQC for all Spring Contacts with plating. Unless otherwise noted, thesetests shall be applied to finished springs at the p

2、lating supplier or spring suppliersite prior to shipment to customer. The customer is permitted to conduct any or all of the tests requirements at their IQC to the sampling frequencies defined in this document and is obligated to reject the lot if any test fails the requirement.本文件适用于成品出货检验所有弹簧片接触面的

5、amage to the spring 铁片损坏4) Corrosion of the plated layers电镀层防腐蚀5) Evidence of increase porosity 针孔的判定The tests are to be conducted at the sampling frequencies defined in this document.All samples tested must pass prior to shipping the lot and to be accepted atthe customer site.本文件定义采样频率测试,所有样品测试在出货之

7、 all functional requirements specifiedin the ERS.除另有说明,样品必须满足ERS规定的所有功能性需求。1. Thickness Measurement 厚度测量A. Plating Thickness Specification: 镀层厚度规格说明Plating thickness is specified in the part drawing. The use of blockers must be reviewed and approved by QE from customer.镀层厚度依指定的零件图,雏形锻模的使用必须由客户质量工程师进

8、行审核和批准。B. Sampling Frequency:抽样频率Thickness is to be checked on 32 randomly selected pieces per lot at OQC. A lot isto be defined as the quantity shipped and received at the customers IQC. Lotslarger than 500,000 pieces should be broken into multiple lot sizes not exceeding500,000 pieces for the purp

9、ose of plating ERS testing. Select the 32 test samplesrandomly from the lot, to include various reels and randomly selected positions oneach reel.厚度每个lot OQC随机检查32片作为出货数量出给客户IQC。大于500,000片的Lots可分成很多个批量不超过500,000片的lot,再从每个lot里,包括每卷reel中随机性抽取32个作为测试样品。C. Measurement Equipment:测量设备FISCHERSCOPE X-RAY XU

10、LM or other customer QE approved X-ray measurementequipment.FISCHERSCOPE X-RAY XULM 或者其它被客户质量工程师认可的X-ray 测量设备。D. Measurement Method:测量方法Please allow X ray equipment to warm up completely prior to measurement. Run the appropriate benchmark and calibration cycles for the specific material measured.Mea

11、sure each plated area at 3 points of the contact area of the spring. Record allmeasurements and report the average measurement for each contact on the part.Please follow SQE instruction for specific test location map below.测量前启动运行X-ray设备,根据具体的实物量具调试运行适当的基准程序和校准周期,测量每个电镀镀金区域接触面的3个点镀面积,记录所有测量值和每个接触面的平

Salt Mist Test 盐雾测试This test is based on ASTM B117: Standard Practice for Operating Salt Spray (Fog)Apparatus, ASTM International. Perform the salt mist test for number of hoursspecified on part drawing

13、.这个测试基于ASTM国际标准化ASTM B117:标准的操作盐雾测试流程,依零件图上规定的进行数小时的盐雾测试。A. Sampling Frequency: 抽样频率Salt Spray is to be conducted on 5 pieces randomly selected per lot.每个Lot随机抽取5片来进行盐雾测试。B. Test Method:测试方法Place test specimens on the racks in the chamber cabinet by allowing at least50mm between test specimen for ad

14、equate fog circulation. Do not allow condensationfrom one specimen to fall on another. Expose the samples to the salt fog for the number of hours specified on drawing at 35°C ambient. Let parts dry for 24 hours in ambient conditions.请将检测的样品放在实验柜中的架子上,并保证样品间至少50mm的距离以便有足够的盐雾流通,不允许有冷凝从一件样品滴到另一件样品

15、上。按零件图规定的让样品在35°C的盐雾环境中暴露数小时,烘干24小时。C. Inspection Criteria:检查标准Save an image of the sample before and after testing for QC records. Gold plating isto be checked for any corrosion and for function. Note any cosmetic blemishes. Tinlayer is exempt from salt spray requirement. Inspect sample under

16、20x magnification.样品需在20倍放大的倍率下检查,QC 记录保存测试前后样品的影像,检查镀金的腐蚀和功能,注意任何镀金层表面的瑕疵(花痕、污点,色点等),锡层免除了盐雾测试要求。2. Heat Quench Test 热处理测试 This test is based on ASTM B571: Standard Practice for Qualitative Adhesion Testingof Metallic Coatings.该测试基于ASTM B571:金属表面附着力标准测试流程。A. Sampling Frequency: 抽样频率Heat Quench Test

17、 is to be conducted on 5 pieces randomly selected per lot.每个Lot随机抽取5片进行附着力测试。B. Test Method:测试方法Heat the plated sample in an oven for 30 minutes at 300ºC ±10ºC. Then quench thepart in water at room temperature.镀金试样品放在烤箱里30分钟,烤箱温度为300ºC ±10ºC,然后冷浸在室温下的水中。C. Inspection Cr

18、iteria:检查标准Inspect samples under 20x magnification. No Flaking or peeling of the plated layeris acceptable. Blisters may erupt during the heat quench test when plating solutionis entrapped in substrate surface pits or pores which are bridged by the deposit. Ifthe deposited coating cannot be peeled o

19、r lifted from the substrate in an area adjacentto the blister, the appearance of blisters should not be interpreted as evidenceof inferior adhesion.样品需在20倍放大的倍率下检查,镀金层没有脱落和脱皮为可接受的。当电镀液遗留在基板底层呈现有凹点或气孔,在冷浸水期间可能会有水泡或气泡产生,如果沉积在镀层表面的残留物不能从基板底邻近的区域剥去或解除而浮出气泡,这个起泡现象是明显的附着力粘性差的次品。3. Soldering Test for Tin P

20、lated Surfaces 镀锡表面焊接性测试This test is based on the “Solder Bath/Dip and Look Test” described by ASTMB678: Standard Test Method for Solderability of Metallic-Coated Products.该测试基于ASTM B678描述的“浸锡炉试验/浸入和观察测试”:产品金属表面可焊性标准试验方法。A. Sampling Frequency:抽样频率Soldering Test is to be conducted on 10 pieces random

21、ly selected per lot.每个Lot随机抽取10片进行可焊性试验。B. Test Method:测试方法Prepare a small vat of Tin solder. Heat the tin solder solution to 245ºC±5ºC. Dip thetin plated portion of the spring into the tin solder solution so that the spring pad issubmerged in the solder solution for 5±0.5s.准备一小桶

22、锡焊料,以245ºC±5ºC进行锡焊料热处理。把铁片的镀锡部分浸入锡焊料中溶解,铁片的Pad必须完全浸入锡焊料中溶解5±0.5s。C. Inspection Criteria:检查标准Inspect the surface of the pad at 10x magnification. The solder must cover >95% ofthe pad surface to pass.在10倍放大的倍率下检查 Pad 表面,Pad 焊锡面必须大于95%判定为接受。4. Adhesive Peel Test 粘合剂剥离测试(结合力测试)Thi

23、s test is based on ASTM B571: Standard Practice for Qualitative Adhesion Testingof Metallic Coatings.该测试基于ASTM B571:金属表面定性粘合测试标准操作。A. Sampling Frequency:抽样频率Adhesive Peel Test is to be conducted on 5 pieces randomly selected per lot.每个Lot随机抽取5片进行结合力试验。B. Test Method:检测方法Bond a strip of adhesive back

24、ed taped that is 20 mm to 25mm wide to a properlyflat area of the coated surface of the article. Please use Scotch 600, Permacell #99or another customer approved tape for this test. Use pliers to press the tape firmly onto the part and let the part sit for 30 seconds. Rapidly pull the tape off of th

25、e part at a 90° angle of pull to the surface.用一条粘合剂和胶带结合在一起,主要是在胶的表面取一个适当的面积,宽度在20mm-25mm,使用Scotch 600, Permacell #99 或其它客户认可的(传动)胶带测试,把零件粘于胶带上用钳子挤压30秒,然后以直角90度迅速地拉动胶带使它与零件面分开。C. Inspection Criteria:检查标准Examine the tape under 20X magnification to look for plating residue or artifacts.Inspect th

26、e article under 20X magnification for delamination or flaking of the plating.Failure in the coating/substrate interface is evidence of inadequate adhesion andnot acceptable.在20倍放大的倍率下检查镀层表面有无胶的残渣或痕迹,其中主要检查的内容是电镀层有无剥离或成片剥落。镀层和基板的接触面出现粘附不足判定为不可接受的。5. Bending Test 弯曲测试 This test is based on ASTM B571:

27、Standard Practice for Qualitative Adhesion Testingof Metallic Coatings.该测试基于ASTM B571:金属表面定性附着力标准操作。A. Sampling Frequency:抽样频率Bending Test is to be conducted on 5 pieces randomly selected per lot.每个Lot随机抽取5片进行弯曲试验。B. Test Method:测试方法Bend the sample over a mandrel so that it is bent 180º to the

28、plated surface. Themandrel diameter should be four times the thickness of the sample. Inspect the partonce at this step. Then, bend the part repeatedly, back and forth, through an angleof 180° until failure of the basis metal occurs. Please follow customer instructions for bend line as seen bel

29、ow.样品弯曲可沿一心轴缠绕,也就是把镀层180度弯曲,将样品围绕心轴直径至少缠绕4次,并同步检查镀层与零件基体是否有分离、脱落起皮等不良失效现象,然后从头至尾连续地进行180度来回反复地弯曲,直到金属基材出现不良失效为止。并按下图客户所指定的弯曲线操作。C. Inspection Criteria:检查标准Examine the deformed area visually under 10X magnification for peeling or flaking ofthe coating from the substrate, which is evidence of poor adh

30、esion. If the coatingfractures or blisters, a sharp blade may be used to attempt to lift off the coating. Ifthe coating cracks at the bending area, this is acceptable, but if it peels off this is tobe rejected.在10倍放大的倍率下检查镀层的弯曲变形区域和基板的外观若有起皮或脱落判为附着力不达标,如果镀层破裂或起泡,可以使用较锋利的锐刀片试着消去。在弯曲度区域如果镀层有裂纹是可接受的,但是

Nitric Acid Test (硝酸)耐腐蚀性测试This test is based on ASTM B735: Standard Test Method for Porosity in Gold Coatings on Metal Substrates by Nitric Acid Vapor.该测试基于ASTM B735:镀金后有针孔的金属基板防腐蚀性标准测试方法。A. Sampling Frequency:抽样频率Nitric Acid Test is to be conducted on 5 pieces randomly select

32、ed per lot.每个Lot随机抽取5片进行防腐蚀性测试。B. Equipment:设备Nitric Acid test shall be conducted in a glass desiccator of 9 to 12 L capacity orother approved test chamber. The ratio of the air space in the chamber (in cubiccentimeters) to the nitric acid surface area (in square centimeters) shall not begreater tha

33、n 25:1. Supports or hangers shall be made from glass, polytetrafluoro-ethylene or other inert materials. Specimens shall be at least 75 mm from the liquid surface, at least 25 mm from the vessel walls, and at least 12 mm from from other test specimens to not impede circulation of vapors in the chamb

34、er.The test reagent is Reagent Grade Concentrated 70% ±1% HNO3 Nitric Acid.防腐蚀性测试必须放在一个9到12升干燥的玻璃容器里或者其它被认可的测试试验箱。容器内氧气(立方单位)与硝酸容积(平方单位)的比例不应该大于25:1。承载样品的载体或者热效应处理的容器必须是由玻璃制成的,往容器内填充聚四氟乙烯或惰性材料。样品在容器内距液面至少75mm,距容器壁至少25mm,并与其它的样品试片至少保持12mm的间隙,不能阻碍容器内蒸气流通。这个测试剂浓缩度为70% ±1% 的试剂级硝酸。C. Test Metho

35、d:测试方法Conduct the test at 23 ±3°C temperature and relative humidity of 55% or below.Add fresh HNO3 to the bottom test chamber, and immediately close the cover. Loadthe samples into the chamber after 30 minutes. Expose the nitric acid vapor for60min. Remove the samples and dry in an oven at 125 ±5°C for 30 min. Place thepart at room temperature and wait an additional 30 minutes prior to conducting inspection
