6、用来询问数量的特殊疑问句。how many后面必须接可数名词的复数形式。如果要询问不可数名词的数量,则要用how much。我们来看一看how many和how much用法的相同点与不同点吧。A. 相同点(1) 两者都可以口语化,作为简略句。例如: -How many? 有多少? -Ten十个。 -How much? 多少钱? -Fifteen yuan. 十五元。(2) 两者都解释为“多少”,用来询问数量。例如: -How many people died in Haiti Earthquake? 海地地震有多少人丧生? -Tens of thousands of people. 数以万计
7、人丧生。 -How much milk is there in the glass? 玻璃杯里有多少牛奶? -Not too much不多了。 B不同点(1) how many引导的特殊疑问句其后必须是可数名词的复数形式。 how much引导的疑问句表示“多少”时,其后是不可数名词。(2) how much意为“多少钱”时,可单独使用,也可构成词组how much money, 但英语中常省略money,用来询问某物的价钱、价格。例如: -How much is the bag? 这个包多少钱?-Twenty yuan. 二十元。【例题精讲】1.
