1、Network Message ExampleSLC 5/04 to 1756-L1 processor via DHRIO & 2 ENET ModulesThe following illustrates a SLC5/04 processor (CH1 DH+ node 76) sending a message to a 1756-L1ControlLogix processor (slot 0). The message will passthru a DHRIO module, a ControlLogix chassis(Gateway) and a ENET modul

2、e to another ENET module in another ControlLogix chassis. In order for themessage to pass through the network a DHRIO Routing table must exist!DHRIO Routing table creationTo create a DHRIO Routing table open up RSLinx and under Communication select RSWho.Select a driver that will allow you to see an

3、d connect up to the DHRIO module.Right Click your mouse on top of the DHRIO module and a drop down box will open.Select Module Configuration by clicking with the left mouse button.Select DHRIO Routing Table tab. If no routing table has been created the following should appear.Right click on Backplan

4、e and than left click on Edit Module.Enter the Link ID for the ControlLogix Backplane.Click on OK.Right Click on 1756-DHRIO and than Left Click on Edit Module.Enter the slot number for the DHRIO module and a Link ID for each CH.Click on OK.Right Click on Backplane and than Left Click on Add Module.S

5、elect 1756-ENET module.Click on OK.Enter the slot number and a Link ID for the Ethernet module.Click on OK.Right Click on ENET Link and than Left Click on Add Module.Select 1756-ENET Module type and than Click on OK.Enter the IP address of the 2nd ENET module and the backplane of the 2nd ControlLogi

6、x chassis.Click on OK.Click on Apply and select Yes to download changes!Click on OK.The DHRIO Configuration should now resemble the following:RSLogix5000 Tag creation and SLC MappingUsing RSLogix 5000 software create the controller tag slc_data.Double click on Controller Tags, select Edit Tags and e

7、nter the name of the tag to be created.Make sure that the Type is set for INT and Array Dimensions for Dim 0 is set for 5!Select logic from the tool bar in RSlogix 5000 and then Map PLC/SLC Messages from the drop down menu.Enter the file # you wish to associate with tag slc_data.In this example file

8、 9 is used and will be addressed as N9:0-4 in the SLC message.The following ladder program will continuously re-send the MSG instruction.The following is the MSG Setup.In this example 5 words of data will be written from the SLC5/04 processor starting at word N12:50 to the 2nd 1756-L1 processor (100.100.113.2) at address N9:0 - 4.Local Bridge Address: is the DH+ node address of the 1756-DHRIO module.Remote Bridge Address is not required if the target device is remote-capable.Remote Station Address is the slot number of the 17
