1、Unit 4 When is Easter?单元概述教材解读本单元学习的主题是中西方节日及个人的生日。主情境图通过学生们在教室中谈论母亲节、中秋节和生日的情景,呈现出本单元要学习的核心词汇和句型及其语用环境,拉开本单元学习的序幕。学生通过看图,了解单元主题及相关文化知识,为学习单元A、B两个部分做好了准备。通过Let's try 和Let's talk 环节的学习学生逐步掌握核心句型:When is April Fools Day? Its on April 1st. And Easter? Its on April 5th this year. 并能根据正确的语音、语调、意群

2、朗读对话,进行角色扮演,在情境中灵活运用。在Let's learn 和Ask and answer环节中,学生能够达到听、说、读、写以下单词:first,second,third, fourth,fifth并能熟练运用句型:When is the sports meet? Its on April 4th.在接下来的环节中学生进一步巩固本单元所学核心句型并掌握字母组合th的发音规则;并能根据th的发音规则读出生词,写出生词,进一步提高在单线上抄写句子的能力,做到书写规范正确。B部分要求学生在语境中理解:How old is he now? He is 15 days old.的含义;在

3、接下来的环节中根据正确的语音、语调、意群朗读对话:When is your birthday? My birthday is on April 4th.并在情境中灵活运用: What will you do for your mum? I will cook cookies for her. 在Let's learn环节中学生学习单词:twelfth,twentieth,twenty-first, twenty-third,thirtieth。教材通过吴一凡和Robin 谈论家人生日的情景,呈现了单词的词性和意义。在接下来的环节中要求学生能谈论彼此的生日,并能在日历表中正确书写自己的生

11、学生回答:Twelve. 教师说:Yes,there are twelve months in a year. And we know January is the first month in a year.让学生理解first的意思,教师板书,带读此单词,并拼写该词。在first旁写上“lst”告诉学生这是first的缩写形式。同法教学second到fifth,同时写出相应的基数词,让学生认真观察,自己归纳总结从基数词到序数词的形变规律。基数词变序数词的口诀:一,二,三,特殊变,八去t,九去e,ve用f来替换,最后再加th。整十去y改ie,然后再加th。序数词的缩写形式:序数词的缩写形式是

12、:阿拉伯数字十序数词词尾的后两个字母lst,2nd,3rd。其余是:阿拉伯数字+th,注意th的发音。 教师说:The first month,学生快速反应:January.教师说:February,学生说:The second month.依次操练。教师说:We know the first month is January,but the first day in January is ?引导学生回答:January lst. (January the first) 向学生解释日期的表达法:月份十序数词,特别要提醒学生的是朗读时要在序数词前加上定冠词the。借助课件,依次显示15日的日期,

Warm-up (热身及预习展示)(1)游戏:Bingo活动方式:教师在黑板左右两边分别画九个格,学生也在本子上画九个格。请两个同学上台听写,其余同学在纸上写。每个格内填写一个听到的序数词,填写完毕,教师大声说出3个单词。如果有人把这3个单词填写在一条线上,便

30、可win the game,得到一个Bingo。不管谁得到Bingo,谁都要大声喊出:Bingo。游戏结束后,请全班同学看着黑板土的单词,大声朗读出来。听写的序数词可以是l0th,8th,3rd,5th,7th,9th, 21st,30th,29th。(2)活动:小小调查员活动方式:教师与一组学生对话,教师问第一个同学:When is your birthday?让该生回答后,去提问本组第二个学生,教师记录学生的生日、日期,并将日期填写在黑板上的表格里,表格如下:Jan.Feb.Mar.Apr.May.Jun.Jul.Aug.Sept.Oct.Nov.Dec.调查好后,该组指派一名代表上台汇报

38、 eight and nine? 引导学生说出:eight这个单词是去t加上th,nine是去e加上th。然后全班一起跟读sixth,seventh,eighth,ninth,tenth,eleventh。教学单词twelfth,twentieth,thirtieth。教师出示卡片twelve和twelfth,边出示边说:Now Let's compare the two words. This is twelve and that is twelfth. How to remember them?Listen:一、二、三,单独记;八去t,九除e,ve要用f替,整十基数变序数;先把ty

Consolidation and extension(拓展延伸) (1)学唱歌曲When is your birthday?。(2)活动:请挑选黄道吉日说一说。活动方式:学生根据教师提供的2016年黄道吉日,选择自己喜欢的好日子说一说。 如:May 1st,May 4th,May 21st,May 12th,May 20th,May 30th,May 23rd。(3)活动:画一画,说一说。活动方式:学生绘制学校建筑构造简图,标出各功能室及教室的具体位置,并用序数词加以描述。(4)活动:制作生日备忘录。活动方式:教师出示
