Lesson Opening Review the words which have been learned about this lesson.Give students some pictures about sports and make students use the words the have learned to give the answer the questions.T: What is the man doing? S: He is skiing.T: What is Tom doing? S: He is playing

3、 football.T: What sport is this? S: Its ping-pong.TS: She is skating.TS: He is swimming. At last, ask them a question about basketball and lead them to the theme of this lesson. Show the students a picture about basketball and ask them.T: What is Jim doing? S: He is playing basketball.T: What do you

4、 know about basketball? S: The answers may be told in Chinese. Tell them in this lesson, we are going to talking about something about basketball.2. New Words Teaching Show the words on the screen and tell them the pronunciations and give one or two minutes to read in a loud voice. Teaching the mean

One is a teacher, the other is a worker.4.score: 分数(常指比赛中的得分)5.put (put) 放置6.win (won) 获胜,赢7.lose (lost) 输掉比赛,丢失8.floor地板,场地9.yell 呼喊,大叫 Expanding of the word

6、s:Show the students a photo of Yao Ming and ask them who knows. Ask some boys to answer the questions because the girls may not know it. After that tell them he is a basketball player from China and he is now playing basketball in the USA. Pay attention to the word player.Then show them a picture th

7、at shows he is playing in a game. Pay attention to the word game. Give some information about a blue player and a blue team. Why do people call them those? Pay attention to the word team. In the end ask them how many players in a football team and in a basketball team.3. Part 1 Teaching Open the stu

8、dents book and play the tape and during it the students can know something about the dialogue. Then give them five questions and ask them to make a group in four to discuss them. After three or four minutes, ask some students in each group to answer. The first four are easy, but the last one may be

9、a little different for some students who dont know much about a basketball game. At last check the answers and as to the last one, tell some rules about a basketball game including when a team gets one point, two points and three points. The explaining can be in Chinese. Main points in this part may

10、 be a little told but not much.4. Part 2 Teaching Since this part doesnt contain main points, use a listening test to finish this part. Tell students to close their books and then show them the dialogue. The task is to fill in the blanks which was cut. When checking the answers, tell them pay attent

11、ion to some past forms of verbs like won and lost.5. Main Points Concluding Show the students the main points in this lesson. 1. -Whats the score?(比分是多少?) 虽然问多少,但不能用How many 提问,类似的结构还有:Whats the temperature? - Seventy-eight to seventy-eight.(78:78)2.watched the basketball 看比赛,用watch, watch 还可表示看电视.3.表示一队和另一队比赛时,可用A play B.4.have fun + Ving6.Activity Book Part 1 is very easy, so after listening, ask some students to check the answers Part 2 is difficult
