Modal Verbs.一、情态动词:表示说话人的观点或意愿,情绪、态度或语气的动词,(不能表示正在发生或已经发生的事情)期待、估计某事的发生。态动词+动词原形二、情态动词的基本用法1. can (could) 表能力、允许、 ( 从理论上或逻辑上判断)可能性以及表惊异、怀疑、不相信等态度(主要用于否定句、疑问句或感叹句中)。 could 指过去或表示语气委婉。例如:I can s
27、peak English well.Can I take your orderHe can t be at home at that time.2. may (might) 表允许、可能性、祝愿等。 might 可以指过去,也可指现在,语气更委婉。例如:May (Might) I have a cup of teaDora may be still waiting for us.May you have a good time!3. will (would) 表意愿 (用于各种人称的陈述句 ) 、请求 (用于疑问句 ) 、某种倾向或习惯性动作等。 would 指过去或表示语气委婉。例如:Wil
28、l you follow me, pleaseWould you please smoke outsideWater will turn to ice if frozen.My grandma would take me to the park every weekend.4. must 表命令、推测(现在、过去或将来的猜测)、偏偏等含义。例如:We must work hard.You must be ill for your pale face.5. shall 用于第一、 三人称疑问句中表示请求或征求对方意见 ; 用于第二、三人称陈述句中表示允诺、命令、警告、威胁、决心等。例如:Shal

32、ut a bunch of flowers in front of the door.他们在门前放了一束花。in the front of 表示“在前部”,指里面。There is a red chair in the front of the room.在房间前半部有把红椅子。(2) behind 在后面A high building stands behind the village.村子后面有高层建筑。The cat lies behind the door.猫躺在门后面。从The train started from Paris. 火车发自巴黎。She will fly from Be
33、ijing to Hongkong.她将从北京飞往香港。,in二者都表示“在某个地方”,但at多指较小的地方,如车站、家等,而in多指在“大地方”,如城市、国家、大洲等。(但大小有时也是相对的)。He lives at Zhongshan street in Nanjing.他住在南京市中山路 27 号。The plane will arrive in Beijing at 13:00.飞机将于 13 点到达北京。C. pronoun主格Iyouhesheitweyouthey宾格meyouhimheritusyouthem形容词性物主代词myyourhisitsherouryourtheir
