1、英语精读课程标准一、课程定位英语精读课程是高等职业院校应用英语专业的一门核心课程。根据英语系应用英语专业人才培养方案,本专业旨在培养掌握英语教育的基本理论、基础知识与基本技能,具有初步英语教学实践应用能力的高素质的中小学英语教师。该课程对应用英语专业人才的培养将起到一定的促进作用。英语精读课程为应用技能型公共必修课,是高等职业院校应用英语专业的一门核心课程,针对应用英语专业学生开设,学时352课时,每周6课时,分四个学期完成,其中共有32课时为实训课。根据英语系应用英语专业人才培养方案,本专业旨在培养掌握英语教育的基本理论、基础知识与基本技能,具有初步英语教学实践应用能力的高素质的中小学英语教
2、师。为中小学培养能进行英语课堂教学的教育人才,掌握教育的基本理论与方针政策,具有较强的英语语言能力和组织教学活动的技术能力。在此基础上,英语精读课程也是英语系应用英语专业学生学习其他课程的重要基础,为其他专业课程,如,英语教学法,英语视听说等打下基础。英语精读不仅帮助学生拥有扎实的英语语言综合运用能力,更注重扩大他们的知识面、提高他们的语言运用能力,为学生通过各类考证奠定基础。前导及同期开设的基础课程有英语语音、英语语法与实训、英语听说、英语口语、英语泛读,后续课程有中小学英语教学法、英语写作与实训等。二、课程教学目标1、知识目标:本课程通过单元的教学活动,帮助学生扩大词汇量,掌握单词用法,并
3、在此基础上提高阅读、写作、翻译等英语成绩。2、能力目标:本课程通过语言基础训练,尤其是阅读理解、语法修辞与写作能力的培养,进一步提高学生的语篇分析能力、写作表达能力;培养学生的听、说、读、写、译的英语综合应用能力,培养学生的实践能力和创新能力,使他们在今后学习、工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流,同时增强其自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养,以适应我国社会经济发展和国际交流的需要。英语精读不仅帮助应用专业的学生拥有扎实的英语语言综合运用能力,更能帮助他们扩大他们的知识面、提高他们的语言运用能力,为学生通过各类考证奠定基础。3、素质目标:扩大学生的知识面,提高综合文化素养。全面促
4、进学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识等五个方面整体发展。同时引导学生独立思考,注重逻辑思维能力。4、其它目标:通过本课程各个单元的系统学习,扎实学生英语语言知识的基础、扩大他们的知识面、提高他们的语言运用能力,为学生通过大学英语四六级、PETS等各类考证奠定基础。三、课程设计思路 我们在课程设计时秉承:以学习者为中心,以应用为目的,以实训为手段的教学理念。1、知识目标设计:(1)对于单词的讲解,不仅仅局限于书本上给出的词汇,可以扩充一些单词,如:派生词、近义词、反义词、俚语等;重视动词的讲解,让学生通过造句的方式巩固单词用法。(2)在教学条件允许的情况下,可利用多媒体课件等为
5、学生提供图片、视频等,让学生以此为线索进行单词的造句和练习,这样既能避免以往讲解单词时的枯燥,又能提高学生学习的兴趣,开拓学生的思维。(3)除了教材中的文章外,可布置学生阅读一些有趣的课外读物,如心灵鸡汤、书虫、英语沙龙等,并在每周给出1节课的时间和学生就阅读的材料展开讨论,以此丰富学生的课外知识,提高他们的英语综合素质。2、能力目标设计:(1)打好语言基础是英语教学的重要目标,但打好基础要遵循“实用为主,够用为度”的原则,强调打好语言基础和培养语言应用能力并重;强调语言基本技能的训练和培养实际从事交际活动的语言应用能力并重。(2)重视语言学习的规律,正确处理听、说、读、写、译之间的关系,确保
6、各项语言能力的协调发展,目前要特别注意加强听说技能的培养。(3)积极引进和使用计算机多媒体、网络技术等现代化的教学手段,改善教学条件。组织学生参加丰富多彩的英语课外活动,营造良好的英语学习氛围,激发学生学习英语的自觉性和积极性。四、教学内容安排及学时分配详见表一五、教学实施方案设计详见表二六、教学实施条件1、教师任职条件担任本课程的专任教师队伍来源于全国各重点高校,获英语专业学士/硕士学位,具备坚实的英语功底,有较强的英语交际能力和教学能力,拥有与本专业相关的职业资格证书。身心健康,热爱教育工作,热爱学生;有较强的教学能力、教育科研能力和创新能力,具有一定的教育学、心理学基本知识,并能运用在实

8、 (中国翻译网) (中国英语学习网)七、教学方法与手段1、教学方法本课程在教学过程中改变了以往单一的教学方法,主要采用任务型教学法、交互型教学法及语篇式教学法。(1)任务型教学法任务型教学法是立足于在建构主义学习理论基础上的教学模式,它将传统的教学理念,转变为以发现问题、分析问题和解决问题为主的多维互动式教学模式;将再现式教学转变为探究式学习,使全体学生能够处于积极主动的学习状态,运用共有的信息资源和经验去探究解决问题。任务型教学倡导学生在实践体验中接受知识。任务型教学的核心理念是通过完成任务的方式,提升学生综合应用能力。高职英语精读教学的最终目的是使学生能够运用英语语
9、言进行交际活动。英语精读教学中,以交际任务为核心,从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认识水平出发,把语言运用的基本理念转化为具体实践意义的课堂教学,以任务布置的形式引导学生进行词汇、语法、句段、语义等进行自主预习和互动探究,让学生通过体验、参与、合作和交流发展来提高英语语言的综合应用能力。(2)交互式教学法对于师生而言,交互是一种接收信息反馈和学习活动适应的方式。交互式教学法,最初是以支架式教学思想为基础来训练学生阅读策略的一种教学模式,交互式英语教学是在英语课堂教学过程中充分发挥教师和学生双方的主观能动性,形成师生或学生之间的相互交流、相互讨论、相互观摩和相互评价的一种互动式教学方法。高职英语精读
10、教学中,交互式教学法必须以学生主体为中心,以语言信息功能为介质,以提高学生的实际交际能力为目的,重视学生在知识、情感、智力上的需求,采用提升学生语言综合应用能力的教学策略,指导学生主动应用语言。交互式教学法吸收融合了其它教学方法的优点,注重课堂内外学习的结合,强调学生主动参与,教师应针对性的提供有意义的教学指导,创设真实自然的语言交际环境,让学生围绕语言功能的特定任务而展开相互交流和探究性学习。(3)语篇式教学法英语精读教学活动中,语篇教学法是最为普遍的方法,该方法以英语语篇为基本单位,围绕语篇内容进行相关文章体裁、故事情节、中心思想以及词汇、语法等结构分析,引导学生明确全文的语篇结构,从整体
11、上吸收篇章的主要信息。英语教学的最终目的是让学生能熟练运用英语语言来交流思想和获取信息。在教学中,语篇教学从理解整篇内容入手,运用所学语言和知识游览和捕捉重要语言线索,对所读文章获得一个总体印象,对文章进行表层理解。通过学习使学生掌握文章中所含内容的深层信息,了解各语篇含义,对文章进行深层理解。利用语篇式方法,不但打破了传统精读教学中注重字、词、短语及句型的局限性,而且还可以为当前高职英语精读教学指明一条光明大道。此外,英语精读教学模式还包括情境式教学法、案例教学法、综合技能法、提问答疑法等。高职英语精读教学可在充分分析教材,研究学生特点的前提下采用不同的教学方法和模式。2、教学手段加快信息技
12、术的应用,整合传统教学手段与现代化教学手段。采用黑板、图片、多媒体、幻灯片、学生自主学习管理平台等进行日常的教学。促进优质教学资源的共享,拓展学生学习空间,推动信息化与职业教育的深度融合。八、考核评价1、考核方式本课程考核方式为: 口试+笔试。2、 考核分值比例本课程考核分值比例为:平时30%+技能测试30%+期终考试40%。其中,平时成绩为练习作业占15%、课堂表现占15%;技能测试为口试,占总成绩的30%;期终考试为闭卷笔试,占总成绩的40%。3、 技能考核项目、考核项目评分标准技能考核项目:测试项目完成方式完成时间小组对话分组完成,每组2-4人,先由小组代表简单介绍活动场景,然后开始对话
13、表演。3-5分钟完成。第 1 学期第 17 教学周小组讨论分组完成,每组4人,以小组为单位提前阅读一篇450字左右的文章,先由小组代表简单概括文章主旨,然后进行5分钟的自由讨论。第 2 学期第 17 教学周角色表演分组完成,每组4-6人自选剧本,进行角色表演,时间为5-8分钟。第 3 学期第 17 教学周辩论赛分组完成,每组4-6人,由给定的多个话题自选其一进行辩论,分呈现辩题、正反双方各做陈词、自由辩论、正反双方各做总结四个步骤完成。时间为5-8分钟。第 4 学期第 17 教学周考核项目评分标准:测试项目评分标准课程评分细则很好(100-85) 较好(84-75) 一般(74-60) 较差(

15、读举止得体讨论气氛讨论主题语言表达语音标准小组合作很好(100-85):举止大方,讨论气氛热烈,主题突出,表达流畅连贯,用词恰当且无语法错误,发音准确。较好(84-75):举止大方,讨论气氛较好,主题突出,表达较流畅,用词较恰当,略有语法错误,发音一般。一般(74-60):主题比较突出,但是表达稍有问题,用词尚可,有一些语法问题,发音一般。较差(59-0):主题不明确,表达不清楚,用词不当,语法问题较多,发音较差。测试项目评分标准课程评分细则很好(100-85) 较好(84-75) 一般(74-60) 较差(59-0)角色表演(第三学期) 英语精读表情丰富表达流畅用词恰当语音标准表演形式新颖剧
