2、lly, sensitively and caringly to the needs of all our students. all teachers must demonstrate a standard of knowledge, understanding and skills of the curriculum taught in the school. all teachers must demonstrate an understanding of the wider curriculum and administration needs of the foundation. h

3、ave knowledge and understanding of: have a detailed knowledge of the relevant aspects of the chinese national curriculum, igcse, ap, ibdp, and/or us common curriculum, and other requirements. have a secure knowledge and understanding of a specialist subject(s). understand progression in their specia

4、list subject(s), including before their specialist age range. cope securely with subject-related questions that students raise and know about students common misconceptions and mistakes in their specialist subject(s). all secondary school curriculum and assessment guidelines. planning and setting ex

5、pectations: identify clear teaching objectives, content, lesson structures and sequences appropriate to the subject matter and the students being taught. set appropriate and demanding expectations for students learning and motivation. set clear targets for students' learning, building on prior a

6、ttainment and experiences. identify students who have special educational needs and are gifted and talented, and know where to get assistance in order to give positive and targeted support. coordinate with other school school specialists in order to best support all students needs. teaching and mana

7、ging students learning: ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals so that teaching objectives are met, momentum and challenge are maintained, and best use is made of teaching time. use teaching methods that keep students engaged, including stimulating students intellectual c

8、uriosity, effective questioning and response, clear presentation and good use of resources. set high expectations for students' behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships. organise and/ or

9、support subject related and integrated study-related activities, excursions, etc assessment and evaluation: assess how well learning objectives have been achieved and use this assessment for future teaching. mark and monitor students class and homework providing constructive oral and written feedbac

10、k, setting targets for students progress. when applicable, understand the demands expected of students in relation to the us common core curriculum, chinese national curriculum, igcse or a levels, ap, and/or ibdp. align with all assessment policies set by the school and or subject departments. commu

11、nicate regularly to parents, sals, and principals about academic concerns of individuals and develop plans for remediation of such students. relations with parents and wider community: know how to prepare and present informative reports to parents. recognise that learning takes place outside the sch

12、ool context and provide opportunities to develop students' understanding by relating their learning to real and work-related examples. understand the need to liase with agencies outside school. managing own performance and development: understand the need to take responsibility for their own pro

13、fessional development and to keep up to date with research and developments in pedagogy and in the subjects they teach. understand their professional responsibilities in relation to school policies, guidelines and practices. set a good example to the students they teach in their presentation and the

14、ir personal conduct. evaluate their own teaching critically and use this to improve their effectiveness. maintain a high level of proficiancy with school technology and look to incorporate such into teaching practice. actively participate in subject area meetings, cross subject area meetings, second

15、ary meetings and full staff meetings . observe classes of other teachers within subject areas or acrross subject areas. managing and developing staff and other adults: establish effective working relationships with professional colleagues, such as, teachers, specialist teachers and associate staff.
