1、Period 1 Learning PoemsUnit 2 Poems , Module 6说课稿Introduction:Good morning, everyone!Today I am very pleased to have the opportunityto tellyou about some of my teachingideas.My topicis the firstperiod:Learning Poems of Unit 2 Poems. This topic will be divided into eight parts.I Teaching materialBack

2、ground knowledge and new curriculum, new teaching materialThis unit surrounds the topic“ Poems” to develop all the teachingactivities including listening, speaking , reading and writing. ChinesePoems are quitefamiliar toSs while English poems are quite strange anddifficult in most Ssmind. So this to

3、pic is to let Ss go into the worldof English Poems and develop interest. The content varies from first knowing, talking about why people write poems and some basic knowledge about poems(kinds, characteristics) . This lesson focuses on two kindsof poems: nursery rhymes and list poems. It is hoped tha

4、t through this unit Ss initially know poems and master the basic common sense of theliterature forms, therefore Ss can write some simple poems.The language materialare involvedinChinese and foreignpoemsso thatSs can get to know foreignculture todevelop thesense of the world. Justas the new curriculu

5、m suggests: Studyingpoemsisbeneficialfor wideningSsculture field of vision and develop Ss multi-cultural sense andability.II Teaching Aims:1According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus , afterstudying the teaching material and analyzing the rule of students growing of mind, I think the

6、teaching aims are the followings:1. Knowledge objects:a. Important words and phrasespoem, recite, aspect, rhyme, rhythm, nursery rhyme, diamond, endless, branch, translation, transform, joy, anger, make up ofb. To develop Ssbasicskillsof listening,speaking,readingand writing.Writing isthe focus inthis lesson.Writingskills forSs include sentencemaking and compounding sentences into a list poem.b. To encourage Ss to practise

8、, participate, and co-operate in theclassroom activitiesc. Enable studentsto be interestedin English poems, to learnsome basicknowledge about Englishpoems and to write some list English poems.3. Emotion or moral objects:a. By completing the task, Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence

9、 in English;b. Through learning, develop students spirit of cooperation.c. Through some poems, develop their love to their beloved persons.IIIThe Important points and the Difficult points1.Enable students to learn some basic knowledge about Englishpoems.2.Enable students to write some simple English

10、 poems.IV Teaching Approaches2Well, how to achieve the teaching objects better, how to stress theimportant points and break through the difficult points? As is known tous all, the modern teaching demands the teacher should improve thestudents ability. A good teaching method requires that the teacher

11、should have the leadingeffects.According to the analysisof the teachingmaterial and students learning background, I will use the followingmethods .Communicative approach and Computer-AssistedInstructionare to be usedin the course of this lesson. And I will try my best to limit TTT, thatis, limit Tea

12、cher Talking Time and increase STT (Student Talking Time).So during this lesson, emphases are to be laid on:1.Student-centered teaching2.Task-based learning3.Activity-based teaching (individual work; pair work; group work; class work) Learning approachesNew curriculumadvocatesnew theory“ cooperation

13、,self-studyandprobing into study”. Only under these theories can students be the newkinds of students and truly learn something. The base of my class is notso good as they comefrom ordinaryclass ,thereforeto achievethese goals,student-centeredlearning isthrough thisclass.Ss willtakepart inallkin ds

14、ofteachingactivitiestostimulateinterest,includingexploring,pair work and discussion. One group talk about the topic“If I hadone million yuan, I would ” while the other group talk about“If Iwere, I would ”2. Get

29、Ss to work in a pair , discuss and each one makes a sentene.3. Ss share their sentences and see which group is more active and whose sentence is the most beautiful.7For example:If I were,I woulda. If I were a bird, I would fly.b.c.d.Goals : 1. These two topics are key sentences of this unit and are

30、qutie interesting to Ss. They all have things to say.2.Group competition stimulates Ss to be active.3. This step is the base of output.Activity 2: Write a poem“ My dream” ( group work , individual work)1. Guiding the Ss may be:Q1: The sentences you make are very beautiful . Then do you think we can

31、compound them into a poem, a list poem, to list our dreams?Q2: Please look at a pattern here and you can work in a group, in four to put your beautiful sentences into a poem.
